Can anybody here know if priority screening is currently in place At Brisbane Airport (Domestic)? Thanks.

It wasn't when I came through a couple of weeks ago. Someone may have a more recent report. Also the premium entry is not open either. Although I did hear it's not far away.

No premium security at the Virgin end. That being said every time I've passed through (normally afternoon/evening) there has been no queue at the Virgin screening point.

Thanks ... I go to BNE about once a month and get to airport at about 8 a.m. for return flight. At that time of day the lines can get pretty long: I've found it often quicker to go thru Jetstar security even!

Friday morning was busy. There was still no priority screening at Virgin and a bit of a queue. As we sometimes do, we went to the middle security gate but that was busy also.

So the VA security point is now open?

Has been for quite a while. It generally shuts around 7-8pm when things get a bit quieter and sometimes isn't open over the weekends. Given the short walk from the central screening point, this is hardly a problem.

Good to know. I haven't flown since March so wasn't sure.

That (downstairs) priority entry area to BNE VAd terminal was closed on Mon this week, which I don't think was a public holiday.

You're referring to the Premium Entry which has remained closed in both BNE and SYD:

What is the status of premium screening coming into the easter break?

As far as im aware;
BNE premium entry is still closed and no premium lanes
SYD premium entry is still closed and no premium lanes
MEL premium exit is sporadic and premium lane is active but not policed
ADL premium lane is still missing?
PER premium lane is active?

MEL premium exit was closed on Saturday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. Premium Lane wasn't policed.

ADL premium lane is still missing and back to the old days of being the crew only lane (from being there 2 weeks ago)

PER lanes have had a bit of a reconfiguration and appears premium lane missing now also. (from being there about 6 weeks ago) - I will have a better look again when I am back there in 10 days.
With Perth prior to the reconfiguration of lanes I rarely used the premium lane as I would find at the times I travel there hasn't been queues for T1D security.

Just going through Adelaide at the moment and the priority lane has returned.

Any update on the situation at Melbourne (re lounge exit stiill closed?)

I know it isn't open yet, but pre-COVID could AMEX Platinum Charge cardholders use the Virgin Premium entry at Sydney Airport?

Nope.

It was only open to Lifetime lounge members and Gold/Platinum card holders (+ equivalent on partner airlines).

Lounge exit zone still closed, but (as pointed out a few posts above) the lane to the left, out in general security, has a priority sign mounted over the top of it - and being Virgin, many of their guests have been educated to not use a priority line if they are not eligible... unlike the competition, who have educated their (domestic) customers that priority signs aren't worth the ink they are printed with...

Also, I asked the lounge desk in SYD a few days ago about the reopening of the kerbside entrance there, and they said it is "planned", but indicated it was a good idea to use the feedback form on the VA website to suggest that it happen sooner rather than later.

Thanks, and thanks for the tip. Will do!
