I've never been overly impressed with the selection of Qantas Hotels on offer.

Usually it's the same or slightly more, but you do sometimes (especially for overseas properties) get very decent included benefits that you don't get elsewhere, such as a very late checkout (4pm), breakfast, etc. It is worth checking out, particularly for one-night stays overseas as they come with 1,000 FF points
