SYD Departure Board, QF747 from the QP, at the gate and the general goodie bag contents (misplaced the water bottle somewhere....)
Prior, fresh made coffee to order plus bacon & egg rolls with green stuff (I think some with cheese) and fruit bowls available from staff walking around with trays.
Boarding well organised with biz called to gate first then lower deck boarding by groups, starting from back rows.

Thank you for sharing the photos. Showed hubby the goody bag one and we both agreed the baseball cap will be worth a bit in the future, not that we’d sell ours.

Some of the items available for sale in the hanger afterwards! ;)

As much as I hope, I’m expecting none of that will be available in Canberra. Would make a nice addition to my collection housed in an ex Ansett trolley.

Wow, looks like a great day. Did you get to take the safety cards home too?

I am not a QF flyer but flew the 747-400 to SCL and return so watched this final flight with some interest.

And then this morning she roared directly overhead home at a low altitude on her final descent back into SYD.

Oh wow, what an epic adventure! Such a bittersweet memory for everyone on board I'm sure. She was the first plane I ever experienced over 28 years ago and I was in love from that moment on. How wonderful that this incredible bird was part of my lifetime. Jealous of every single passenger on this flight!

Everyone says how great and quiet an Airbus is.....but for me, I'd take the grunt and roar of a B747 every day of the week. But I drive a 6.2 litre V8, so that's no surprise.....

Someone, presumably from the Sydney flight, has already listed their stuff on eBay. At an opening price of $500 I’d be surprised if there are any bids.

Including the much valued Safety Card......

Bids rapidly advance ?
