It’s already happening? What is the way forward from here for Qantas to restore reputation, quality, service, destinations, etc. - in other words to get it back to where it used to be and belongs?
New CEO. New chairman.
New A220s, A321XLRs, A350-1000s, 787-9s and 787-10s on the way - an average of 1 new aircraft every 3 weeks for the next 3 years. A330 refurbishments. New F, J, W and Y seats.
Fast-free and unlimited wifi is coming to all QF international aircraft regardless of class or FF status. Who would not want to enjoy this? Other airlines discriminate based on class or FF tier when determining who should use the (average speed) wifi. QF’s inflight entertainment is already world class.
Destinations is on an upward trend. Regular Continental Europe flights are back for the first time since 2013 with SYD-PER-CDG. QF didn’t fly to Korea, India, Italy and France pre-Covid and there hasn’t been any loss of countries that QF fly to since Covid (Hong Kong is in China - QF still flies there despite PVG suspended). They didn’t fly to Canada year round - they do now. New AKL-JFK service as well.
QFF continues to remain Australia’s second currency and its only getting stronger with the new rewards system and rumoured new partnerships with Telstra and Westfield.
It will take time, but I expect in three years time all Australians will have resumed their ironclad support for QF on the world stage.
