Qantas Adelaide Business Lounge

Arriving today shortly after 4pm and was sent left to "enjoy the Premium Lounge".

I think it had just opened (4pm) as the lounge was almost empty; the food appeared freshly set up.

An hour later it is filling up.

The 2020 Corryton Burge Percival Norman Shiraz is nice.

One of the better wines I have had in a Qantas lounge since COVID. (Then again my perception over the decades is that Adelaide Qantas lounges generally do wines better than the rest.)

I hear the Adelaide lounge will not accept lounge invitations during the building period. If that's so, the four invitations I would normally transfer to family members here in Adelaide won't work -- and that would make my travels with family difficult.
Maybe something has changed, but my partner was able to use a lounge invitation transferred by me, on Friday. Perhaps it was quiet.

friday was the last day of school term...
plus there was something called a Grand Final going on in Melbourne... between two cities foreign to ADL

I was there on 5 Sept at about 12 pm. Definitely open. Invited to enter at the desk. Also allowed to take a guest; "umble" Silver. No very busy but filled up soon after. I suppose it depends on which flights are leaving. There is a cycle of activity in some lounges depending on departures. I noticed that the regular lounge had some nice open sandwiches (but not much more), that were not in the Business Lounge.

How are the renovations going to the Original Club? October completion?

Was your partner able to just walk up and use the lounge pass without linking online?

I have a lounge pass that I'd like to use for a trip out of ADL at the start of December, but i'm not sure if works will be complete and the restriction will be lifted by then. Can't link online at the moment.

By what the finished lounge looks like, the artist impression I mean, it looks like it wont be ready till at least next year.
I hope it is not ready when I go there in two weeks. I like the informal business lounge. I have only been there twice since the mods began. First time I could have used the business lounge I didn't get past the desk as I had asked for a flight change and it was already boarding. The second time I had a bit of time before my flight and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Maybe they finally got around to it. Have also tried linking it for a trip next March and was result as yours. There's a June article speculating that lounge passes won't be accepted until after mid-next year.

I also read an article that the new Qantas Club would be ready mid-November before the Business lounge (in 2025). Hence I thought there'd be a chance I could link my pass for my December flight, as long as at least the QC was ready.

But by the sounds of the comments above neither lounge will be complete until probably next year.
