Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

Update:
Points rollover from prior year has happened sometime this evening - I'm now showing 350 status credits in my account for my first day of this new program year and I haven't even set foot on a plane šŸ˜‚:

One thing I'm a bit confused about is why 250 status credits rolled over when I thought it was capped at 40% of the renewal amount for QF Gold (i.e. 240 points)? Not that I'm complaining since I don't mind having a few extra SCs to get me that much closer to earning QF Platinum this year!

Original wording is:
Qantas will rollover eligible Status Credits earned in the Membership Years ending between 31 July 2022 and 31 December 2022 up to a cap of at least 40% of the Status Credits required to retain your tier.

The terms up to, cap and at least should never appear in the same sentence.

Normally at end of anniversary year, the SC are all wiped (but added to lifetime SC)

This year there is Status Support - Status Credit Rollover
In this case a lowly 180 SC rolled over from 215 total

A friend got 500SC rolled over from a total 1010 SC at year end which is the max roll over for a WP.

Looks like the % of the cap is applied to the actual SC available for rollover up to 100%
In my case 215/250 = 86% = 180 rolled over

I'd suggest looking at where the 35 that didn't roll over came from. E.g. were they from last year's rollover?

Thanks all Iā€™ve found the 35SC yes it was rolled over from previous yearšŸ‘
As an aside, for anyone finding their current year/previous year tallies not adding up, thereā€™s still a bug in QFs IT. When I filter my activity by ā€œcurrentā€ or ā€œpreviousā€ year rather than 01 AUG to 31 JUL, itā€™s starting from something like 12 JULā€¦. Itā€˜s been doing that for a year or soā€¦.

Well my year rolled over NYE and I checked today and whilst 3983 SC have gone There is 1800 rolled over.

Not yet but the wheel isn't showing as any SC earned this year unlike last year.

My year rolled over at the start of December. My wheel shows the 1800 rolled over (as well as the 376 I actually earned in December 2022) as ā€œearned this yearā€. The ā€œalready earnedā€ segment is down by the 1800 theyā€™ve rolled forward. While itā€™s a bit annoying to my ego that the ā€œalready earnedā€ is artificially lowered by 1800, it makes no practical difference in the quest for lifetime gold as those 1800 status credits are just in a different coloured part of the wheel.
