The Sofi Spritz is the same in all cabins and comes from a can.As you were flying J, did they make the spritz fresh or was it from a can?

Mine was black tea on the breakfast tray. I suspect they poured the tea and the tray sat for a while before coming out.Agree. Once I ordered a black coffee and it was served hot. However, anytime I asked my tea/coffee with milk in it, the temperature is lukewarm ... may be the milk is too cold when added and it brings down the overall temperature?
It was poured from a can.I liked it too. I had the spritz SYD-SIN in QF81 Y and I was given a cold can and an empty plastic glass. It was good, I liked it and went for seconds. It was much better than the Angove Organic Shiraz (or the small bottle ones, can't remember the name) they were pouring.

Probably that's what happened. The FA on my recent QF68 was very attentive. He did not pour the coffee until the last minute, meaning, the tray was set out for everything except for the hot food & beverage. He asked if I'd like to have brekkie and then put the hot dishes out. I was inquisitive of how they plate, so I was at the galley when they set my tray.I suspect they poured the tea and the tray sat for a while before coming out.
Agree. It was done well. I think there is a variant of this at Dan's. Let me see if I can find out what it's called. It would also make for a nice pre-departure drink too.
Always has been an issue on QF for many decades especially on the overnight flights.Would it be too much to ask for the tea to be hot though?

Yep. Chalk and cheese.I know this is the Qantas meals thread, but I just want to compare the noodles I received in QF J from MEL-DRW with the noodles I got the following day in SQ J, flying DRW-SIN:

These noodles had much more flavour, a better texture and it was a far better dish.
In fact, pretty much everything about the SQ J experience - even on a 737 - was better than QF. I even got a lie-flat bed!
Seems like you liked that lamb but it looks, cough cough, quite awful- I’m surprised that it was tasty tbh. Was there a hot alternative offered as well?
Maybe similar to the mushy peas which also always look quite non appetising but are actually tastier than the pie itself?
Does QF sever that?Yep. Chalk and cheese.

Lurpak too...
Yep. They even had brand-name salt & pepper! You can't really see it from the picture, but the sachets actually say "Salz" and "Pfeffer" - they're Hela brand and imported from Germany.
The attention to detail was so good, in fact, that they were carefully laid out by the flight attendant the right way up on the tablecloth.
(Sorry, all this talk about attention to detail is taking this thread on QF J meals well off topic! )
