I'd probably go for prawns, then either linguine or ribs, then the torta.
Fair points. It's a 7.30pm departure.I'd probably go for prawns, then either linguine or ribs, then the torta.
The menu isn't exciting, but the items don't look all that bad. Two entree choices isn't great.
EDIT: Just saw that the flight is SIN-PER. That's around 5 hours. Not sure if it's a day time or overnight flight, but if the latter then all the more for a short menu, as it needs to be served and cleared fast.
it needs to be served and cleared fast.
Doesn't bother me in the least. It was perfectly well presented as it was and a very satisfying meal.I’m no defender of the quality of Qantas’s catering, however at least it is served in actual tableware and glasses not cardboard boxes and plastic cups.
At least there is a choice. Recently flew TG business and they're still serving one single entree/appetiser and its almost ALWAYS fish.I'd probably go for prawns, then either linguine or ribs, then the torta.

This is my biggest gripe about a lot of these supposedly “amazing” Asian carriers too. SQ is also like that and JAL is the very worst offender. No choice of starters and on many (or in JAL’s case, all) occasions, it’s fish or seafood which I can’t eat.At least there is a choice. That red looks like it's threatening to slosh out mid-turbulence...Seatbelt sign went on due to pretty significant turbulence as soon as my seatmate and I were served, so service was paused. Had to grab the tray or glasses a few times, but was at least able to eat at leisure.

Yet fortuitously there was only a bit of water spillage - by magic the red found its way to the correct home. That red looks like it's threatening to slosh out mid-turbulence...
So delicioso. Definitely not the steak or lamb that SQ serves but really good for a Western carrier. Anything that looks like it is not Cole-slaw directly "imported" from Colesworth is a win in my booksBNE-MEL 13:15 scheduled flight. 3 options, Teriyaki chicken, a soup and a salad.

Didn't look like much but was actually tasty and I enjoyed it. Chicken was tender.
Excellent, personable and kind service from CSM Janine. Water upon boarding, then surprisingly served first in 1D despite 1A&C being CLs. Seatbelt sign went on due to pretty significant turbulence as soon as my seatmate and I were served, so service was paused. Had to grab the tray or glasses a few times, but was at least able to eat at leisure. After 45 minutes when the sign was extinguished Janine somehow managed to serve everyone else in a full J cabin, with several top-ups offered as well as a few teas and coffees. I suspect we were slowed a bit by ATC, but still an impressive service.
True that. You can safely assume that no one is dying of food allergy over thereThis is my biggest gripe about a lot of these supposedly “amazing” Asian carriers too. Give me a tomato soup on Qantas instead of little cold fish any day!
Anyone flown Syd-Hnd on QF59 lately in J and can learn me up on the meals?

QF26 HND-SYD. I’m pretty sure it’s the first time I’ve done a rare QF day flight from Asia to Australia. Two full meal services. Breakfast and “Lunch” served at dinner time prior to landing. I opted for all Japanese options on this flight. Starting with the yellowtail main for breakfast. The...www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au
