Qantas Business Class meals & menus

QF103 SYD-HNL 24/5/25

Burrata for entree, snapper for main, chocolate mousse for dessert.

The burrata was great. The snapper a bit dry/overcooked, corn puree was delicious though. Chocolate mousse also delicious. Wine top ups could have been a bit more forthcoming. Bar service with a bag of nuts to get things started. Interestingly my partner received almonds in a small dish.

Scrambled eggs and potato rosti for breakfast. View attachment 386310View attachment 386312View attachment 386315View attachment 386313View attachment 386314

Pretty good flight overall.
Hard to tell the difference difference between the corn puree and the scrambled eggs!

QF146 AKL-SYD, 16:05 departure

The three dinner choices were chicken breast with veges, Thai noodle salad with salmon or spinach tortellini. I had the pasta which was nice enough.

QF493 SYD-MEL, 20:00 departure

Not sure if this is treated as a dinner or a supper service, but I suspect it’s the latter given the meal choices. There was a choice of cauliflower soup, a slice of pizza or a Ploughman’s platter. I had the soup which was fine but not spectacular.

QF148, two hours later on the same route: Had exactly the same menu choice as Mattg above. Both myself and my partner had the chicken which was alright but nothing spectacular.

As on the outbound, champagne ran out just after dinner. Flight crew advised that they always only get two bottles catered for the 737 trans Tasman services these days which is ridiculous cost saving by Qantas. 2 bottles, really? Not happy

Looks like you were even in the same seat as me! ;)

They didn't run out on my flight, but what did you think of the champagne on board anyway? I didn't find it that spectacular.

On my flights it was the good old Duval-Lerois which is alright but nothing amazing, agreed. Preferred the new Lallier that was served on the inbound and also in the Flounge a fair bit more.

QF555 BNE - SYD earlier this week. Departure time 19:45.
Flight was on an A330 repositioning to SYD for an Asian flight the next day, ...so was a treat to be in a lie-flat bed for just over an hour.

Food options were:
- Reuben Sandwich
- Mushroom Soup
- Ploughman's Platter

None of the options were that appealing, though I opted for the mushroom soup which was fine.
Other passengers (including pax next to me) didn't seem too thrilled with the options either, with the few in front of me opting for just some chocolates/snacks and some alcohol.

Regretted not arriving earlier and eating more in the lounge, as I was still hungry after eating the soup, and the Sichuan braised pork served in the lounge that evening was nice.

Overall disappointed with the meal offerings, though the lead FA servicing the cabin was wonderful to talk to and provided great service.

The highlight of the trip was definitely flying on the A330.

CNS-BNE lunch followed by BNE-MEL this week... Options were the same for both, I had the Paella on the first flight followed by the Smoked Salmon salad into MEL.

Paella was tasty, if almost too dry. Salad was fine. Proactive service on both segments - I had to reject final top up into BNE telling them "I have another flight".

QF426 MEL-SYD, feta and spinach quiche, was “edible…..in the same way economy meals were pre Covid. Reward booking, reinforcing my view that I wouldn’t pay for domestic business.

Seems to be the ‘in thing’… Rex is also offering a spinach and feta pie (quiche) on their flights MEL-SYD! Only difference being Rex has a lemon slice on top and tartare sauce! (confusing, but it was 100% not fish!)

Enjoy @Justinf
You deserve a bit of pampering after your marathon road trip, thanks for taking us along.

As much as I like eating curries on airplanes as they’re usually quite good when heated up in the galley, I must say they always look like… Well, like they have been eaten once before 🤢
It’s all in the presentation. I realise domestic is different but this was one of my International meals on Vistara a few months back
