Qantas Business Class meals & menus

I don't think we have a thread for Premium Economy meals so I'll put these here. The bulkhead window seat (with the side storage bin) is a poor man's business class anyway.

This is yet the most recent example I've seen (or experienced) where I've found myself more impressed by the PY meals than J. Perhaps it's the novelty of being served at least one course of one meal on something larger than a bread plate, or seeing a main that isn't a bland piece of fish or chicken ("at least it's healthy," I always tell myself), but I stand by it.

Does anyone have the current QF21 Melbourne to Dallas menu that they could share along with any pictures/reviews? Thanks in advance

No updates menu wise as I typically fly pre dinner with the ploughmans, cheese platter, pie, croissant etc but have really been enjoying the west cape Howe Malbec on golden triangles over the last couple of weeks

That actually looks pretty decent. Tasty enough?

Yes everything was quite good. I think it's essentially a trans-tasman J service for the main meal.

The pad thai was a particular surprise for an anytime mid-flight snack, I've found this part of the long-haul international PE/J menu to be quite disappointing usually

Salad of smoked salmon with steamed kipfler potatoes and gribiche dressing

(I had ordered a main, but turbulence out of LHR meant the meal service had to be paused three times, and I ended up falling asleep before it was served)

Quinoa kedegeree with hot smoked salmon and a poached egg
One of the better breakfasts I've had on Qantas. Good serving of salmon and a perfectly poached egg.

Beef short rib rendang with cucumber, stir fried kangkong and jasmine rice
Coconut sticky rice pudding with mango, toasted coconut and sesame

I wasn't planning to eat after splurging on nasi lemaks on my layover, but how could I say no to more rendang! The beef was surprisingly tender and the kangkong was pleasantly spicy. Possibly the best QF J meal I've ever had.

I assume the QF2 SIN-SYD menus are the same/similar across all the flights from Singapore (e.g. QF38 to MEL)?

Flew QF36 last night @JasonK - a pared back menu, no Neil green leaves or starters.
I would imagine QF38 being 2 hours later would be similar.
Think @sudoer posted QF menu yesterday

Must admit, Beef rendang was very tasty.

I noticed a couple of pictures that the meal is now served on a tray? No tablecloths?

Late night departures ex Asia. I think it's good - speeds up the service and allows more sleep.

Once you finish, you can easily shift the whole tray onto the side table and recline

Agree with you @sudoer , that Rendang was delicious
And that simple slice of bread was pretty ok too!
