Mine says coming months also, but my new membership year clicks over on 1 Aug. Guess I'll be getting a standard QFF card and then the cash card afterwards?

I've not signed up for the cash card component, so does that mean the new membership card I receive will be an ordinary membership card? Sorry to sound so dumb, I"m blaming the flu headache for not thinking properly.

Not sure how they choose other than if you're under 16 you get the standard card. Of course, the cash component needs to be activated anyway but I thought I'd read you could request a standard card.

So where did AP info in OPs post come from?
With Sept delivery may get Velocity card first.

I expect that the september thing is for those with qualification dates of 30 Sep (remember that QFF got a lot of new members in Sep 2001) - sadly for me that means a WP rather than P1 card :(
Our family got the September email and we all have a renewal date of 31 August.

Sorry, my sarcasm and antipathy seemed to be missed. Retrospective rolly eyes inserted

It's nice to dream, unfortunately its not likely to be a choice in the future to at least receive the card. It'd be nice if it was the same with credit cards but bonuses might dry up then too. I do get what you mean now though.

Two interesting questions, has anybody been able to access an application form from the Qantas Cash website and has anybody seen a QFF card with a "casual" or "nickname"

It means there's not been a general a great deal of control on the name used when joining QFF. For example, you do not need to prove the name you are enrolling is correct..

One area that this has caused some heartache is to those with a religious name and then try to apply their QFF number to an international booking (which has their legal name as per passport). The number is rejected as not matching and they don't earn anything unless they change their name on their QFF account (which is easy enough).

I got the e-mail, September arrival with request to 'confirm details'. The details in the e-mail were correct. I don't see any need to 'confirm' them.

Really? The possibility of a $15,000 travel voucher isn't enough motivation to click on a button? I sure as eggs clicked on the confirm button!

No email or anything for me. Perhaps my registration got lost in the website update with the JASA's we used to know and love ;)

For those who haven't received the email, you can update or reconfirm your details and be in the draw to win 1 of 3 $15000 Qantas Holiday vouchers via this link.

Interesting that QF seems to be requiring this id check whereas VA does not.

So VA first to the punch, albeit it seems to have mostly sent out cards with 1/2 months to expiry, and for Plats a leather wallet that is a little too tight for most cards.

New card in the PO Box this morning......darker, PLATINUM in red, MasterCard, BPay, Pay Pass logos on the back.

The wavy lines on the front have been replaced with a Kangaroo.

Expiry date is 2 months beyond the card status expiry.....now need to sign the card on the back same as other cash cards.

Looks OK.
