Qantas is apparently now serving a limited-edition Centenary Lager on its flights, brewed by James Squire. According to this article, it has an alcohol content of 4.2%, is made from all-Australian ingredients and is "easy drinking". But I haven't been able to find much more information about it.

Has anyone tried the Qantas Centenary beer on a recent flight?

I'm guessing it's just rebadged JS beer.

They used to have a line called Sundown (Australian Larger) 4.4% which was quite good. Their current Larger is called Shackles 4.6% which they also describe as "Easy Drinking".

It will be interesting if they offer it retail.

Flew DRW-BNE mainline and BNE-CBR Qlink last night and they didn’t have it on board on either. Mainline CSM said she didn’t think they would see it until 24 Feb.

I’m assuming it will just be 150 lashes in a different tin...

150 lashes is a Pale Ale, not a Lager.

Could just be an "exclusive" reboot of a previous product.

I flew DRW-MEL today, and the flight attendant I asked hadn't even heard about it...

I did SYD-CBR-SYD on 26/02, was only served 150 lashes ... I travelled in Y, may be it's only for J ?

Side note : anyone has the picture of the can or name of the beer?

I'm doing breakfast flights (no, I don't want the damn potato frittata...) until the end of March.
If it hasn't been provided I'll send a pic then (assuming its being carried)...

I asked about it mid-Feb and the CSM at that point had no clue what I was on about. My next flights are in April so I hope they're still serving then :p
