Didn't receive a confirmation email but when I chose the DSC promotion I was greeted with a page confirming my choice (which I promptly took a screenshot of). Seeing as I've already made a booking for AKL after choosing the bonus offer, I'll assume I'll get those DSCs in January when I fly out.

Wondering if your Amex travel credit has expired and that’s why it’s missing. My travel credit was showing as usual when I checked it yesterday arvo. Didn’t try to use it yet though.
I found it. I had cashed it in on a booking four months ago, just forgot to cross it off my giant list of vouchers, credits, etc. 🤦‍♂️

Can anyone confirm that DSCs count towards the 2700 SC QF marketed flight requirement for P1?

Anyone have any experience/idea on this:

4 passengers on Classic Award Flight Australia-NZ Booked and Ticketed February 2022
1 passenger is Points Club so will earn SC's for trip.

If I split the Points Club passenger off the original PNR during the DSC booking window (March 25-April 1), the Qantas website says it will create a new PNR. Would this new PNR be eligible for DSC or would the original February booking date transfer over to the new PNR?

Not sure cancelling and rebooking is an option for us as the classic award seats are no longer available on the dates we have ticketed.

With the NZ iternaries for status runs, wondering how to handle a flight that arrives at 12:30am in Auckland... early/late check in at the hotel or play the waiting game at the airport... hmm

There's an Ibis Budget a few minutes walk from the terminal for around $105 per night.

I might take my chances in the terminal and sleep on the return leg.

I miss flight club.. the first rule of which is.....

I think the first rule is less of an issue when the regulators of the fight club are too lazy to regulate.

This avenue has been around for several years. Qantas appears to have tightened the wording in that time but just like priority boarding, priority baggage, priority phone lines ... it's just words without any rigor.

Yes similar for me. It’s a measure of how fast things have changed that I am back on the bandwagon of saying that they need to do some thing to incentivise longer term loyalty - all airlines treat you well if you fly Business, so LTG is not that much of an incentive to fly QF. And I will never make LTP.

So DSC offers that make it possible for me to retain platinum will certainly help keep me loyal 😆 as I really like the WP benefits!
That's what I have been tossing up too. I'm leaning towards the points, as I have managed to get past LTG and with the latest extension I'm WP until June 2023. With retirement only four years away, I need to start amassing more points for our big retirement soiree, so MrsK at least can be in J.

Yes. l retire in 4 days when my last contract runs out. Just booking all the flights I would book anyway, plus a little run to ROK via MKY, because it's kinda fun. Would be pointless trying to requal WP, but clearly if I drop back to LTG the sky will fall. It's a tough one.

cheers skip

For those doing an overnight turnaround in New Zealand, consider flying into CHC instead of AKL as there is a Jucy Snooze around a 10 minute walk from the terminal. You can book a capsule there for around ~$30 and get a few hours of sleep before returning on the 6am flight back to SYD.
