I was getting weird looks when l was drinking a campari/beer at 7am. Body clock told me it was time for a drink, so l have 1.

There were two Peronis there Tuesday afternoon, since when is 4.6% light?

I'm quite sure they were lights when I checked last... 0.7 drinks in each bottle if I recall correctly, but maybe they're just tiny bottles (can't say I actually checked the % booze content). I'll review on Friday.

It’s more of the fact that repeating the same argument in every lounge access thread gets tedious and starts to turn people off taking you seriously

We get that you think only status pax should be in the lounge, if you’d like to start a thread discussing it, I’m sure you’ll get plenty of takers, but this thread has a slightly different topic

You don't, however as Sam commented this topic raises its head quite often.

For some reason some members here like to think they could make a better club by excluding lots of people.

Paid QP members would like to excluded all the non paid members, SG's and WP's would like to see paid memberships banned and suits would like the fluro members banned.

I however just want people to behave themselves and I will say that I have seen bad behaviour from all groups in the clubs. Furthermore I do not wear hi-vis, except when required by law as I am in the transport industry.

You mentioned that it should be for true FF's but isn't a FIFO worker a "true FF" as they fly up to 50 times per year.

I think people forget the Qantas club was a paid lounge for a long time before access was granted to frequent flyers for free, as was the Flight Deck, although there was the Captains Club which was based on segments flown.

After AN went down I joined the QP and was a paid member from 2001-2007 when I hit SG then WP. I don't know about the previous rules as I was a Golden Wing member (paid).

The QP's are not that packed currently that we need to exclude people from them and now with the two tier lounges in many ports the problem is somewhat solved.

I am in PER next week and I am looking forward to the earlier opening time as my early afternoon flight will allow a few drinks before boarding, and as it will be late June by the time I leave I am looking forward to once again sharing my membership with others.

Just to let you know, early afternoon, it gets chock-a-block. You'll be search for a seat, that's for sure! There are quite a few flights that depart pretty closely together. Once they depart, the QP almost feels empty.
