Pics look nice to me, definitely glad to see QF being back at OOL. Anyone know whether they got Bulmers on tab? I love the lounges that do

On tap is Carlton Mid, VB, and two others I forget, but don't think they had Bulmers. I was disappointed not to find Fat Yak personally, but it's a QP selection, not J lounge. So likewise there's no Blue Tongue in the fridge.

I've already used it twice. Once on Friday, and once on Sunday.

It actually had a soft opening last Thursday.

It's not a Jetstar Lounge anymore: it is now a Qantas Club, as of last Friday 30 November. So the answer, as such, to your question, is Yes!

The lounge was officially re-opened in style yesterday with exceptional service and hospitality - apart from a relatively minor refurb from the original Qantas Club > Jetstar Lounge (gone is the shock of orange everywhere) it really has not changed mostly due to the finite area the lounge uses. The food is the usual Club fare with the standard wines and no spirits available but 4 beers on tap, but unlike when it was the Jetstar lounge you don't need to pour your own (was good fun until you made a mess!!.)

But beware if you are flying Jetstar and planning on using the lounge - the hours are specifically targeted to the QF flights and only open at times preceding QF departures. I think this may change as it seems such an effort to open and close the lounge during the day but not sure if QCLub members flying JQ are being encouraged despite the very limited QF departures.

(Even though the AKL JQ241 departs an hour after the lounge closes, PAX would need to depart the lounge much earlier than for domestic to get through emigration)

Oops I forgot to post this earlier.

I sampled the QF OOL lounge on Tues 01/01/2013 and I was super impressed.

Walked in and received a super friendly welcome. The family and I were escorted to a group of tables. Had some pancakes and coffees. Barista wouldn't allow me to take 2 coffees & 2 hot chocs to my table as she insisted on delivering them herself on a tray.

Kids loved the kids area and PCs to play some games on.

Had a shower in the very nice showers with the large overhead shower heads.

Empty coffee cups were collected and staffed offered to make us another coffee and bring it back.

Received a fond farewell and safe-flight comment from the team.

They totally rocked the Club! Well done QF!
