I recently spoke with a lounge staff member who said there were approx 6000 guests for the month of August. This averages about 200 guests per day.

Considering the size of the lounge, I was quite shocked. Are there any figures for bigger ports like SYD/MEL?

Whilst I don't have the figures for MEL/SYD, I think the patronage figures for OOL sounds about right for a destination which sees only 3 QF operated service a day. The QF operates between 20-30 services per day ex-OOL (including international services) so 'on average' it is about 7-10 passengers per flight.
