I may have finished the paperwork today. So much info.....I hope somebody has done a speed reading course.

Hmm. I think I signed up for the wrong thing. I used a link from the Woolies site and supplied all the info you'd need for a credit card but now have received advice I've been approved for the savings card. They certainly didn't need all the info I gave for a savings account!

You did indeed  !

I applied for this earlier in the week. A young lass rang today and wanted to confirm some entries on my credit file. Will know tomorrow if it is approved, which I suspect it will be.

I'm still toying with the idea of divesting from all things QF, but this will do while I mull over the options now that WWEDR is dead in the water.

I have a savings account approval. I rang up and apparently that's ok, my CC application is in process.

Yes, that seems to be the first step. I received my account number yesterday, then today I got the access code. I logged in and could see my Savings account, but underneath was the Visa Platinum account. Both empty of course....for now! I haven't received notification the CC has been approved but I think that means that it has.

I had never thought how confusing it would be to look at multiple credit cards for 3 months that I run in Oz. I had a read of the many pages of transactions just to help confuse myself a little. Perhaps I may have taken the relentless pursuit of points/ miles to a level beyond an outsiders comprehension.
Like many others I do like qualifying for bonus points/miles as well as high earn rates on everything that is cardable.

I've held this card previously and had no issues with their levels of customer service, which I found to be excellent. I reapplied over the weekend and was approved in 24hrs. From what I recall there was no cap on points earning.

Ok. That sounds like it might be ok then. Weird getting the email with no account number but telling me it's ready.

I didn't do any paperwork though?

Interesting, I click progress onto id check in the application process then the next page states they will be in touch in next couple of days.....

That didn't happen. :p

I think Macquarie visa pays points on BPay too. Haven't used it for a while though.

I got one of these in a prior promotion. It's a good card and the 1:1 is a real benefit. The things I don't like are
1 the payment has to be in their account on the due date not on its way. I have found that from CBA it takes 2 days. The late interest is harsh
2 the ability to do anything admin with them is painfully slow. To get a small increase in limit is 3 payslips and bank statements seems way over the top.
3 Access to branches is mostly at the airports
but like most cards there are good and bad
Andy
