Qantas Customer Remediation Program

Received my $450 for 1x international flight. So about 6 weeks from submission to receipt of payment.

Got the equivalent of 40$ per hour I spent on the phone to Qantas !
Trouble was I was working then and earning much more than this

Received $225 x 2 for cancelled domestic flights, which was a surprise. Still $400 short from covid time cancellations.

OMG I am totally over this - I just received a text "reminder: you are eligible to receive a remediation payment from Qantas....check your emails for further information...."

No email. Unable to see the progress on my already claimed case as "my case" still shows the frozen entry screen it has had for more than 2 months and the "new" "unique number case cannot be found by me anywhere on their web pages. Why is this so hard?????

Easy answer, it's something to do with Qantas 😀

I need to check this out. I'm low on cash and certain I must have been affected. Where do you register? I checked the website; it's quite vague.

Well, I just got an email with my third "unique" code. So learning my lesson from previous interactions, I have registered using this code and a different email address to the ones already used. And lo and behold, it submitted straight away exactly as other people have reported. So now I wait to see what happens next.

Here's the address for the registration landing page. Good Luck!!!!!!

Finally received my $225 payment. Apparently, despite all the codes etc they have sent me, I am only entitled to one remediation payment. I am happy to take the cash as I don't really remember being too disadvantaged by the changes, but I do feel uneasy that there is no way for me to check what flights I took (so long ago that I don;t still have flight details) and whether I really am only entitled to one payment. "Trust me", said one of Australia's least trusted companies....

Did anyone else just get a text from Deloitte?

Edit: Logged in and took a look, it seems they missed a passenger in my previous claim. I had assumed she wasn't eligible, but perhaps she was. I'll fill in the claim now, I guess.

And has just been followed up by an email:

Hi 33kft,

You and/or other passengers on an Impacted Flight Booking are eligible for an additional remediation payment.

Please follow the below instructions to access the Deloitte Portal to view the additional Impacted Flight Bookings and to receive an additional payment.

While you may have provided these details previously, you will need to provide these details again to receive an additional payment.

Sounds like they might have missed a few on the first round - hope ACCC Santa is generous to AFFers.
