In more on Friday 17 November, the B744 from SYD to SCL (QF27) is expected to depart at 1410 hours, 80 late with same day arrival predicted at 1215 hours, 65 late. QF28 back to SYD will depart late but may, as it has in the past, pick up time on a gate-to-gate basis.
ayebee, let us know if anything occurs to 'advance' you. A despondent look on your faces wouldn't go astray either, but remaining polite (challenging as that is for many of us) will assist.
I omitted to mention above that for some weeks, there has been so-called protected industrial action from Cobham Aviation and National Jet Systems flight crew who assert that they should be paid closer to or at the level of QantasLink flight crew, so the 'sickness' may (note, I didn't say 'is') bogus. To use an old fashioned term, it's 'a Clayton's strike.'
While I don't know if it is an empty working ('ferry') or a special carrying passengers, a very long stage is the case for QF6200 (B717 VH-NXE) that took off from PER at 1052 WST on 17 November and which is arriving in CBR at about 1750 hours.
QF27 from SYD to SCL departed later than predicted at 1513 hours, 143 minutes late. Arrival should be at about 1245 hours, 95 late. The 1335 hours back from SCL, QF28 will be unable to depart until at least 1425, but as noted above may pick up some time on a gate-to-gate basis and hence not be overly late arriving in SYD tomorrow late afternoon or very early evening.
The 1615 hours SYD - MEL (QF469, B738 VH-VZY) was in the sky at 1705, so anticipated arrival has become 1822 hours, 32 late.
