On Sunday 6 August, QF63 from SYD across to JNB is delayed in departure form 1000 hours to a projected 1200 'high noon'.
A332 VH-EBP on the redeye QF80 (HND down to MEL) arrived this morning at 1007 hours, 92 late. It had been in Japan all day since arriving 46 late at 0611 hours as QF25 ex SYD, so not sure why the delay.
The Saturday QF9 managed to take off from PER at 2322 so Sunday arrival in LHR (local time) should be about 0839 hours, 214 minutes late. The good news is (in theory) this should mean a punctual departure for the 1155 hours QF10 back down to PER and then on to Melbourne.
B789 VH-ZNJ on Saturday's QF10 took off from LHR at 1250 hours so a 51 minute late arrival in PER at 1231 today is the expectation. This will mean a delay into MEL for the second sector, and possibly tardiness for the QF93 to LAX tonight ex Melbourne.
QF198 from APW down to BNE, a fairly recently introduced flight, had B738 VH-VZH, and become airborne at 0553 versus a timetabled yukky departure time of 0505 hours: arrival at gate in sunny Queensland was at 0831 hours, 46 minutes tardy.
A388 VH-OQI on this morning's SYD-arriving QF2 ex LHR and latterly SIN arrived at 0606, 56 behind. This aircraft is forming the 1020 hours to LAX (QF11) that's expected to depart an hour late. Arrival though may still be punctual as the westerlies should assist.
'The 104' from HNL down to SYD (A333 VH-QPA) should arrive at its allocated gate tonight at about 2008, 88 minutes past the timetable.
Last night's QF25 (the 2020 hours) was apparently delayed overnight and should depart today at 1300 hours for its SYD-HND excursion, some 1020 minutes late. There are very limited slots available at HND (and rival NRT) for aircraft that are significantly delayed, even if crew rest hours are not a consideration ex SYD (i.e. it may be a different crew to those rostered last night).
B738 VH-XZF is on the Sunday 6 August morning (0850 hours) QF143 (SYD up to AKL) airborne at 0943 for a suggested gate arrival of 1427, 32 behind. Of its previous seven trips, this northeast bound offering has been more than an hour late arriving in Auckland three times: not good. It's usually formed by an early morning arrival from NZ but tends to lose time on the ground in Sydney.
