I'm guessing here, but to me it looks like the aircraft scheduled to operate BNE-LAX, VH-EBM, has instead operated as QF6004 down to Sydney to operate a delayed QF127.Tonight‘s QF15 BNE to LAX apparently cancelled around 30mins ago, and ppl auto-rebooked in 4 days time without any other option in the app. If these allegations are true, chapeau Qantas…
Ouch. 24 hour delay plus a Paris diversion would sting a bit.QF9 having a bad day, Wednesdays flight 24hours late leaving PER, now diverting to CDG due to LHR weather.
Todays QF9 cancelled
Ground staff have no idea about technical issues. Any why couldn’t it be aircon issues. There are many, many, facets to aircraft aircon systems, though the bit that most people seem to forget is that at their hearts they’re really the pressurisation system. And there’s a fair chance you don’t want to go without that.Monday 24 July QF 24 BKK - SYD. Delayed twice then cancelled. Aircon issue? Who knows the real reason, because information from ground staff was non-existent.
So, it sat at JFK for quite some time after arriving, and then flew to LA. And then after a bit more time, has flown back to JFK. The implication is that something was broken on arrival from Auckland, and it was temporarily/partially repaired to enable it to fly to LAX for a proper repair at which point it was flown back to JFK to rejoin the schedule. There is nothing on FR24 that gives any indication of what the issue was.VH-ZND operated the last scheduled QF3 service on 22/10. It was scheduled to do the QF4 JFK-AKL-SYD service on the 22/10. This service was cancelled with ZND then doing QF6001 JFK-LAX 25/10 and QF6004 LAX-JFK on 27/10. I'm guessing this aircraft will do the Friday evening JFK-AKL-SYD service arriving into Sydney on Sunday morning. A question for @jb747 - do they have passengers on the QF6xx_ flights or just crew? Assuming just crew could there have been a tech issue with ZND that couldn't be fixed at JFK necessitating the aircraft head to LAX to get fixed? Would the crew enjoy a 6 day layover in NYC or would QF bring them back to the home ports?
Do they offer buses, say to Southern X as well? Would probably be more convenient for some of the pax!The SYD-AVV QF flight is grounded at Avalon, pax disembark and being bussed to tulla. Apparently engineering check required due to damage on landing.
