Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Today’s QF 29 MEL to HKG is delayed to 1300 tomorrow!! It’s A330 again
I got early info on this aircraft return time out of HKG - it is the QF128 to Sydney, this flight will be delayed to 0200 departure on the 23rd!! The delay is around 30 hours!! I wonder will QF proactively move passengers to other flights including CX to reduce the impact to passengers?

It looks like QPF was allocated to operate this flight but then it ended up on a domestic MEL-SYD service QF444, which is also delayed.
That aircraft is schedule to depart to Sydney at 1600 - that is a 3 hr delay already from scheduled 1300 departure - maybe this flight is faulty for long haul service, decided to ferry the aircraft to SYD for repairs?

Just to add to the problems for QF19 (333) for the third consecutive day...today has still not departed 4 hours late.
this is getting beyond a joke - 2 days for QF 29 too to HKG - yesterday took off at 1453 instead of 1105, arrived at 2021 (almost 3 hrs late) on QPC, the return was QF128 to Syd and took off 5 hrs late at 0033 and arrive 4 hrs late at 1159 instead of 0745!

Grr. I had booked Mrs JT on last night's QF764 (PER-MEL) red-eye as it was an A330. 'Was' being the operative word. Subbed to a B737. 🤬
The service appeared to be neither cancelled nor delayed though?

Delayed domestically almost 3 hours today, however, is the QF796/797 MEL-ASP-MEL flight pair.
The usually punctual mid-morning QF796 is consistently formed by a B738 which has operated one of the early morning flights to MEL from BNE or SYD. Today it's being operated, unusually, by an aircraft which had earlier operated QF675/678 (MEL-ADL return) & landed in MEL just after 1100.

luckily they landed safely and no harm done other than delayed travel

Looks like EBK spent all day on the ground in SYD yesterday before operating a very delayed QF643 (SYD-PER) which will mean a delayed QF71 to SIN (yet to takeoff) and no doubt a delayed return to aus as QF52

I think it would be easier to track which Intl flight operate on-time - would be a shorter list.

QF37 MEL-SIN now delayed to a 22.00 departure, in turn affecting the return QF38 SIN-MEL which is now departing at a terribly early 03.30 the next morning.

My theory (which could be wrong): I suspect the originally assigned EBD is not serviceable and they may be waiting for EBJ, which itself is operating a very delayed QF459 SYD-MEL.
Update: EBJ is turning around as QF478 back to SYD and so will not be operating QF37. EBD will be operating QF37 and probably needs some maintenance work before it can be dispatched.
