Qantas domestic seating data capture

I might be slightly confused on the aircraft designation. i thought that a 767-300 was commonly referred to as a 763. Or that a 738 is a 737-800. However, one of the earlier posts here refers to 24D (or there about) being the best seat available and the aircraft as a 738

Have I missed something? I thought the best seats on a 737-800 was either row 4 or the exit rows.

Nothing wrong with 24D if you like sitting at the back of the plane I thought it was just referring to what seat you were allocated and where you finally sat, rather than a reference to the best seat. And if you are an NB it might be your best option!

I am not sure whoever mentioned 24D on a 738 was mistaken. Definitely row 4 on a 738 and row 4, 5 on a 734 would be the best seats in WHY.

As for 767's in general the ones I get most are the international cofiguration and the best seats in WHY would be 23DE (although careful of 23E if aircraft switch), 24F (no 23F in front) and 25B (crew rest in front). For the other 767's with domestic configuration row 23 or 24 bulkhead would be the best seat in WHY unless your preference is exit row further back in the cabin.
