Qantas double status credits: Register & book between 12-18 March 2025

We've put together a list of the best QF status runs that you can currently book on the Qantas website:

Most of the best status runs this time around, quite predictably, are Business Class to New Zealand.

The good Business Sale fares we used to see to DPS are pretty much gone now, unfortunately.

There aren't many great deals available to Europe (in terms of $/SC) but if you want to get to Paris, booking SYD-PER-CDG in Premium Economy isn't terrible value. As an added bonus, the SYD-PER leg may book into J.
I’ve tried booking this online and just keep getting error messages - is it working for anyone else ?

Well, I've now finished booking my DSC flights.

As a PCP member, I've spent around 100,000 points (plus taxes and charges) and expect to earn about 450 SC's.

All domestic. Best I could do this year due to Qantas wising up a bit, with Classic Plus and just generally making fewer business class reward seats available (despite all their PR to the contrary).

Yeah, unless you like CGK and surrounds, you’re probably getting better bang for your buck/points/time doing domestic trips.

I’ve actually been meaning to construct a spreadsheet of SC earn v points/$ as PC.

As an aside, I had been noticing that SYD-DRW-SIN in J was popping up on random days. Apart from no F Lounge I. SYD, the SC earn with DSC in both whY and J would be reasonable. Alas, I couldn’t see ANY SIN-SYD options home….

I take it that this was a conversation with a Call Centre. Not Manila by any chance? However, if you’ve got something in writing that would help your case if things had gone pear shaped. Anyway, it looks like you’ve cancelled and rebooked so maybe best for peace of mind.

Not worth looking back on what happened in previous DSC offers IMO, although we won’t all agree on that.

We all like to believe that we are helping others here, but some of the posts can be somewhat baffling. 🤔
@DC3, it was an e-mail to the FF team. They told me that the PRNs that I referenced weren't eligible for the campaign. I therefore decided to cancel and rebook for peace of mind as you pointed out - I managed to pick up the same seats too, which was great.

I actually like CGK surrounds! But I can't see any great value currently (my year ends May).

I should play with PC as an option - I'm relatively points-heavy at this stage.

Booked another Ool-Mel-Akl-Mel-Syd J run for Nov 26....I will then have more than 1/2 the SCs needed to requalify Plat till Oct 2027! :)

Couple of Qs:
1) what time does the QC in OOl open? Im arriving at 0940 from Syd and now am worried I will be kicking my heals back waiting for the lounge to open ahead of my 1330 flight to Mel. :(

2) Lots of rumours that Qf will follow other airlines and go to a spend based status system which I guess will defeat the purpose of double SC offers. Thoughts?

1) AFAIK OOL lounge only opens one hour before each QF flight. You would need to check the overall schedule for the day to see if there might be a few flights spread out before yours and the lounge might stay open. Last time I did something like what you are doing I spent a couple of hours in the terminal.

2) If they go to a $x per SC model, then DSC could still be a viable promotion from their point of view. Time will tell.

Well, I have a QF metal flight out of OOL at 06:00 in October, so I'm assuming that the QF Club opens at 5 am (1 hour prior).

On the moving to a spend-based system, it would be a huge "dog act" if they did this while also selling people on extra SC's that will in effect become worthless. But with Qantas we shouldn't discount anything. My strategy is only to use points bookings via PC, so I can get my cash back if Qantas does the dirty (and I'm half expecting it).

It might be of interest, given the above, that I've already requalified for WP until September 2026, so I'm talking about hopefully extending my status to Sep 27.

Lets not get off topic on a DSC thread about what will or won't happen with QFF in the future.

Fair enough, but let's not ignore it either. It is rather important and relevant to people here spending their money, I would have thought.

OOL is not a lounge I'd want to spend 4 hours in. Especially when the bar doesn't open until 12 and the food offering is minimal.

If I were you I'd leave the airport for two hours or so - it's about a 10 minute walk to Kirra beach or there's a bus that leaves from the terminal (6 minute trip). Then come back to the airport and enjoy the lounge with the bar open.

My year starts 1st June 2025, just looking at my forward bookings to move to WP.

On a side is there any chance I can stay airside AKL airport? One of my runs I arrive 1AM then depart at 7AM, will only have carry on of course.

Recent case example for you. I booked a flight during the DSC promo this time last year, then had to reschedule to one flight 14 Feb (last day) and the last 15 Feb, outside the qualifying period. 14 Feb credited next day, 15 Feb did not. Correct result.
Flights flown within the promotional period should count, regardless of other flights that may or may not be on the ticket.

Anecdotal experience is in line with the terms; a Qantas Marketed and operated flight taken within the offer travel period will be eligible for DSC.*

So the former flight should earn DSC, the latter not.

*Assumes the member properly registered and booked.in line with the promotion terms.
Thanks all for confirming

I don't think so.....airside transit security will be closed so you have to clear immigration and go landside and you can't go back airside till immigration reopens at 0430 I think.
