Qantas double status credits: Register & book between 12-18 March 2025

My year starts 1st June 2025, just looking at my forward bookings to move to WP.

On a side is there any chance I can stay airside AKL airport? One of my runs I arrive 1AM then depart at 7AM, will only have carry on of course.
I have done the status run to AKL. You may stay airside. Use backpack as head rest and stretch out on seating in area between gates. I couldn’t wait for lounge to open for a shower and brekky.

When you put a flight into credit, does it become immediately available to use to book another flight? Or does it take a few hours or 24 hrs to show up? Looks like I can do it through the app to put it into credit. Might book a different DSC offer.

Looking at the email timestamp, I received the credit instantly when I called to cancel my flight a few months ago

Just curious but has anyone found any runs that include Qantas First that come in under $7/sc
I haven’t really found anything in “status run” territory in QF F, but DRW-BNE-SYD-JNB is around $11,563 return for 1440 SC (domestic legs are in J). Just over $8 per SC.

Are you able to purchase a flight voucher during the promotion and use it later with the DSC later?
This used to work for previous promotions. The T&C wording says that flight voucher redeemed outside of the promo booking window will NOT qualify for DSCs. We won't know for sure until someone has tried it out and reports back. If you are doing this, please come back and update this thread. Happy flying.

You may be able to leverage an ex Oslo AONEx from $16K+++ for perhaps $6 per SC.

So $8320 for DRW-MEL-SYD-SIN-SYD-DRW I think works out to $6.99/sc for 1190 on a DSC offer, plus you'd get a 50sc bonus from the 500sc earn taking it to 1240sc and down to 6.71/sc would be quite good then? J all the way except F SYD-SIN. I've seen DONEx and AONEx come across these internet walls before but I admittedly haven't looked into what they mean so it goes over my head. I'm sure it's explained on here somewhere. I ran out of time to see if I could force it back through Melbourne or something to get more earn but might have a look later.

Yes, there’s been past reports of people doing this. Maybe google for the latest information.

I will say the TA method is superior to all considering they can raise new tickets against it. It makes things a lot easier.

Curious can TA modify a booking they didnt originally make with the passengers permission?

If I were doing a complex international or RTW itinerary i see the value in a good TA, but for domestic, trans Tasman or simple point to point international its always been easy enough to make changes myself.

Not possible IME. My work TA tells me that they are unable to even see/view the booking I made directly with QF or with other OTAs, so I'd guess it won't be possible to make changes to a booking that is not originally done with the TA. Happy to be corrected.

The TA method to get DSCs costs more for domestic and TT as the GDS prices are higher.

Ah so like Amex. To use my $450 credit i had to pay $37 more for the flight.

Everything I booked I will be flying, no banker bookings this offer so will hold off using a TA unless I'm constructing a RTW.

QF is its own worst enemy. I am trying to book SYD-MNL-HKG-SIN-SYD in J in Feb 2026. Every QF multi city search generously will only book me in whY from SYD-MNL and MNL-HKG. HKG to SIN CX J and QF J from SIN to SYD ! WTF ! The DSC are not worth the hassles that QF creates when they will not even offer me paid sectors in J that I request. CX here I come for then entire trip.

To the first - no, they probably (certainly?) can't even see it or manipulate it even if I give them the PNR.

To the second - totally agree - that's my strategy (remembering that you get more out of a good TA than just a booking service). Although last year I had a domestic DSC booking via my TA, which I had to change to an international itinerary, so that was lucky.
