Qantas DSC October 2024 Offer - book by 31/10/24 & fly 1/11/24-19/10/25

I just want to make sure my calcs for my flight SC earn is correct before I make another booking *fingers crossed all calculations are correct to get gold*

Syd > BNE, GC > SYD in business rewards as a PC+ member, I would get 18 x 4 = 72 SC in total right? cost was 18,200 points + $53 each way

SC earn calculations are correct.

It’s Flight club sweet Blackall
It could be a Long Overreach to suggest humourly what it takes to get DSCs
Can someone please remind me if I decide to change my destination, obviously need to be booked into the same or higher fare class, however can I change a one way ticket to a return, can a domestic booking be changed to originate for an o/s port? thanks

Yes and Yes - have done both of those at the same time in the past

I am going to Ljubljana (LJU) ex MEL in July 2025, but QF site says no matching flights. I tried multi-city with no luck. I have flexibility with itinerary, ideally would like to go via KUL or SIN on the way back from LJU. Any suggestions, please?

Just checking, would a ticket originating outside Australia (ie LHR-MEL-LHR) booked with an overseas Travel Agent still be eligible? I don't see it in the T&Cs to say bookings need to originate from Australia (but I think I recall this being a condition of previous offers).

And if the booking was the QF EK codeshares in one direction and the QF operated flight in the other direction, I'd still get the DSC on the QF operated flight in that booking?

I was also having issues using it. It worked smoothly for one trip but not for another. It was only after the price went up by ~$300 did it start working again (hmm, suspicious).

2 silly questions:
1) All flights booked via the Multi-city tool, when it decides to work, should be subject to the DSCs and not just the one-way/return flights?
2) Even though the number of SCs that show up prior to payment is the standard amount, the DSCs should come through as a separate transaction?
(This is the first time that I've purchased flights during a DSC sale - I'm trying to make sure that I'm not making any assumptions. I'm excited and am hoping for the best once the flights occur next year - I should have enough to almost get me to WP.)
I’m late to the party and someone may already have answered, but you will get DSC on flights on QF operated flights only - on QF metal (except the couple of Finnair wet lease that do SYD-BKK and SYD-SIN which count as QF operated. So for example, no DSC on EK or other QF code share, and no DSC if flying with a One World airline, just on QF (and Qantas Link etc)

And yes, the standard no of SC show at booking, the doubles will follow a little while later - hence the joke upthread about people asking when their DSC will land.

Edited to correct autocorrect 😵‍💫
