Qantas DSC October 2024 Offer - book by 31/10/24 & fly 1/11/24-19/10/25

Is the new policy with flight credits to determine DSC eligibility based on the date the actual flight flown was booked, and no longer the date the original flight was booked? We will see…

Very keen to hear from anybody who originally booked during the DSC as flex travel but cancelled for a credit used for a flight that has subsequently been flown…

Interesting. As was said earlier in the thread, seems QANTAS is now crediting DSCs to flights booked inside the booking window with flight credits from bookings made outside the window.

This post has me concerned but I don’t think it’s correct based on QF’s own FAQs on the issue.

Yep, fair - I'm only asking the question, not at all saying I think that's what will happen.

I have one in this bucket next Wednesday so should be able to report back (hopefully positively) by late next week if no one else has one sooner.
Can positively confirm that a banker booking made during this DSC booking window that was rebooked after the initial booking window still triggers DSCs (they posted around 36 hours after the flight).

Question: if I choose to change my flight at the counter and fly ahead will I still get DSC?
Keep your boarding pass get printed copy of the new one they don’t accept digital copies for proof if any issues you can email in later
Ur more than welcome to move to earlier flight at check in as booking reference doesn’t change

Will be sitting at 674 SC's once the CX SC's and the QF DSC's hit the account - with five months to go... do I or don't I go for WP? :)

If travelling overseas a bit in the year ahead, can be very nice. If not, prolly not worth it.

Evening,
I booked a J sale fare over to Auckland as part of the DSC promo and now want to move the flights forward a couple of weeks.

I was hoping just to change the flights online, but it isn't providing me that option (and I hope to avoid ringing QF), but I can cancel it to a flight credit. However, I'm worried about the following I read in the t&cs:

"If you cancel your initial qualifying booking or change it to be outside the promotional period, the double Qantas Points or double Status Credits offer will not apply."

I was under the impression that a flight credit would provide me the same PNR and as long as the new flights were flown before 19 October 25, then the DSC would still apply. Am I wrong?

Planning to book a trip ex-IN on QF. Reading the definition of “eligible flight”, I take it that the international flights eligible for this promo are not restricted to international trips commencing AU, and can commence from overseas as well.

Would like to have my understanding checked please?

Correct. I've booked many status runs originating ex DPS and AKL, which have earned the DSC.

Awesome 🤩 good start for my Saturday 😎 albeit it’s raining here in CBR all day and I had planned to do all my shopping for my o/s trip commencing in 3 days. 😞

Hmm been 4 days since my syd-mel flight. I wonder if something has messed up or if its just the usual takes a bit to update.

It's month/year end so system is also processing status credits expiry, status up/downgrades, etc

I had some trans-tasman flights last week (CR flights as a PC+), and though my experience has been that they usually credit before landing or soon after, both segments were a couple of days after the flights, and then the DSCs arrived another day or so after those credited.

Cheers,
Matt.

I had 4 DSC sectors this week and they posted 24hrs after my arrival.
