So for those of us resetting at the end of the month who’ve already requalified, looks like we are the worst off - no benefit and we’ll have 6 months or more of our next year out of action with no flights.

There was always going to be winners or losers. Or at least winners and non-winners.

Well, hubby was about to requal WP for end of April 30 year and the job was pulled Monday. Self employed. Life is shades of grey.

Mrs AS just got it. Nothing for my daughter yet, but seeing as how the email looks like it's being done in batches, it may come in a little while

Finally.
Thank you Qantas.
And Virgin please?
As a LTG this does not impact me with QF but I think it’s a good call as they will need loyalty when the airlines finally get off the canvas whenever that might be.

Now my VA Gold Status I’d love an extension, let’s hope they match QF.

Yep, just received this as well. My re-qual is end of Sept and although on-track to requal WP so far, the next 6 months were looking challenging given COVID-19 (not withstanding my recent DSC booking spree). Great news, well done Qantas.

My anniversary is this month too. I’d already requalified, so offer will not assist me. But my partner who is sitting on 30SC will be extended until Dec 2021. You win some, you lose some. 🤪

We had booked flights under DSC offer that would have got us both there for 2021, but will likely have to cancel/move those. Will consider pushing them to Jan/Feb 2021 so we both requalify to 2022. 😬

Yep, my situation exactly.

Very happy Platinum member here, I was miles off re-qualifying.
Haha, I was in the same boat, about to lose P status on 30 March for the first time in 3 years and miles off re-qualifying. I've spent the last month trying to convince myself that the normal Q Club wouldn't be so bad and that row 16 on 737's was better than row 25 or wherever it ends...
Pity we won't be using it much if at all in the next few months but thank you to Qantas who are doing it tough, really tough.

Similar situation, here. When I read the details, I thought that maybe this was an oversight, but most probably not. 😩

A pretty generous offer from QF all things considered and certainly helps me out personally.

* My Platinum status renews 31st May 2020 and I still need 110SC to requalify.

* I had a trip booked to Thailand over Easter break that was going to credit 140SC and thus requalify me for another year of Platinum.

* I also had a series of trips booked under the recent DSC offer that were going to get me over the line to requalify by end of May 2021. Most of those trips are booked from June-Sept of this year. Suspect most if not all will now be off the table.

I was kinda already resigned to losing my QF WP and restarting my approach to flying from scratch when this madness is finally over in 6-8-10 months time. Was mulling in my mind the best strategy, airline(s) and alliance to pursue when that time comes... maybe time to check out other brands?

So as well as being generous offer... also strategically smart to keep people like me semi "locked-in" to QF/OW. As the saying goes.. don't give your loyal customers a reason to try the competition.

And I should add that QF has me by the mizocks to a large degree... seeing as when I eventually cancel all my current eleven QF bookings one-by-one... I will end up with $10K of vouchers that I can only use with QF. So that too. :)

Pretty happy to receive this email earlier, especially as I have just cancelled all my domestic travel booked during the DSC promotion. I've still got the personal MEL - LAX booked for Queens Birthday Weekend that was going to start my new year off with 180SC - I guess I will hold onto this for now (and can't cancel anyway) - it was the $665 special.
