I'm sitting in the EK lounge currently waiting for QF2 avoiding the school holiday zoo that QF lounge no doubt is. I don't even know why QF is bothering with F. This lounge will be far superior with its wines, food and runway views and is practically empty. Apologies for being a SIN newbie but this will now be first port of call even with F.

I prefer the MEL/SYD QF F lounges over the EK ones. If the SIN F lounge is close to that standard it will be my new favourite SIN lounge.

But all speculation until it opens.

It does fill up. But clearly a far superior product to QF's current offering.

My expectation of the SIN F lounge is high. Worst case scenario is it will at least make the current lounge - as well as the BA and EK lounges - more peaceful.

The only thing EK's lounge has going for it are the runway views. The food offering is 50 shades of boring, and the decor is like something out of a 1970s waiting room.

The new QF offering will absolutely sh** all over EK's current lounge.

F check in host told me mid/end of November but you know what the QF rumour mill is like!
The (sort of) answer is here:
Prize: ... [including] ... Five nights accommodation from 21 November 2019 to 26 November 2019 (inclusive) ...
It will be opening within that period.

Personally, I'd agree with this. Definitely a lot quieter there so can see the attraction if you're looking for that but quality and range of food is a long way short, showers not as nice etc.

I'm in SIN at the moment. (QF lounge for now, moving to BA when QF gets busy)
I went past the future F lounge. It's between the Danta lounge and the T1 transit hotel. They moved the prayer room into the hotel space.

The T1 map on the airport website has been updated with the location (listed as upgrading in progress). Maps around the airport info boards still show the space as being part of the transit hotel. The hotel end of the lounge overlooks the D arrivals immigration hall (much how the current lounge overlooks the T1 check in).

When I went past, there was a number of Qantas managers and construction staff hanging around outside at the Danta end of the space having meetings. I asked when it's meant to open. They said "another month".

Updated opening to 2 Dec 2019.

Anyone see a mistake in this section?

Qantas will open a dedicated first class lounge at Singapore’s Changi Airport in early December 2019. This will be only the fourth Qantas First Lounge in the airline’s network, alongside Sydney, Melbourne and Los Angeles.

Poor AKL. :(

Forgotten but forever in our hearts 😂

Would have thought there would be private rooms of some sort.

The Qantas Singapore First Lounge (to use its proper name) will be officially opened by Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce on Monday December 2, 2019, just in time for the busy December travel season.

Note the key words here are officially opened. Expect a 'soft opening' a smidge prior to Dec2.
