You won’t get a Spa appointment. Prebooking is only for QF F pax and it isn’t open early enough in the morning for the EK departure.I'm flying first class internationally for the first time (hooray!) in a month or so out of Sydney, so had some questions that I hoped someone more regular could help out with about QF First Lounge. I'm going since there seems to be a consensus that QF First Lounge > Emirates Lounge:
Is the all-day menu available at breakfast, and what should I order there as a first-timer?
I booked Emirates via Qantas as a codeshare, do I get a spa invitation call the day before?
Is it worth going to the lounge as soon as it opens (5am)?
(I'm flying in the morning, around 8am).
To be honest with you unless you are really keen to get to QF F I would just skip it, arrive at the airport a bit later and just go to the EK Lounge.
For the OMG o’clock departure I would always choose the extra sleep inThat doesn't sound like traditional AFF advice. Surely one goes extra early and does both lounges
Would love to hear how you went @squeeze72 Was it everything you hoped?Hello AFF's
I was fortunate to get a reward First Class seat a couple of days ago, flying this Tuesday from Manchester. There doesn't seem to be the option of spa treatments at MAN but I can see that there is in Dubai. I only have a short transfer time in Dubai 1 hr 25 min.
Am I able to prebook a spa treatment before I leave? I can't see anything on the website.
I'm not likely to fly first again anytime soon so would love to get the full experience.
I flew business on the way out and only just made the connection with a 35 minute transfer time (should have been 1 hr) so didn't experience any lounge at all.
Also, any tips for a rookie First Class pax?
Must have shortened the hours again either temporarily today or ongoing.SYD F Lounge spa was already closed at 4pm today - advised the last appointment is 3pm (coincides with QF1 departing)

I had a 4pm appointment in January.

I’m flying JQ international in January from SYD to MEL. My understanding of JQi is that check in opens 3 hours prior to departure (13:10). Supposing I manage to check in and get to the QF Flounge at 10:30 is there any chance of my partner and I snagging a QF spa appointment? Relatedly, how do the showers work? Is it a reservation system as well? If there was a wait for the spa/shower is it something I can head to dining before enjoying both? Or maybe I should enjoy dining first then cut everyone off 45 mins before my flight departs
It's your tales about showers in LAX which prompted me to see if I can optimise my movements in SYDi so that I have a chance for a spa treatment. I'm actually less interested in the food & drinks though will sample some to get a light meal before the flight.I’m flying JQ international in January from SYD to MEL. I’ve only ever been asked once in many years of visiting the SYD F lounge. I put it down to my apparent youthful looks….Spa treatments are more difficult to come by though I haven’t asked for one in a while.
I’ve never thought about!I don't even think the SYD F showers have a booking system. You just help yourself.
I've never had to wait.
Plus 1 to this comment - go for a shower whenever you want. If there isn't a clean shower, just find an attendant and ask them and they will clean and re-equip for you.I don't even think the SYD F showers have a booking system. You just help yourself.
