Qantas First Lounge Spa

Is it just me or does anyone else think the spa treatment times are getting shorter and shorter? Last couple of times I’ve been there and had a treatment, it lasted for around 15 minutes or less which hardly seemed like it was worth bothering.
Two MEL and two SYD visits in the past few weeks. Appointments each time (one pre-booked as in F). Arrive at least 5 minutes early and treatment starts early or bang on time and always lasted minimum 20 minutes.

Might depend on the treatment chosen? I always have the foot/lower leg session. Easy to prepare for and exit room after, so the 20 can be used on the treatment.

Pre-filling the form can help too.

Incidentally 4 different therapists (though very familiar with the 2 in Melb) and 4 quite different style sessions! But all very good.

Agreed. The past few times I've been this year have definitely been within the 20 min range and not less.

Mine have both been about 15 minutes. Not complaining, a 15 minute massage is better than none.

On Tuesday I'm flying SYD-LHR F on Emirates, but with QF code.

Will I be able to pre-book the spa given it's booked through QF, or will I need to do it at the lounge as it's EK metal?

Flight leaves 8.10pm, although I'm planning to arrive mid-afternoon, so hopefully there's space after QF1 departs.

Theoretically yes but the Spa closes at 5pm.
EDIT: Missed the pre book part. No you cannot pre book. Walk up appointments only unless QF F

Thanks good to know, I guess I'll arrive early in the afternoon (if checkin open per the other reply) and hope for the best.

Shame, because I booked through QF I don't get EK chauffeur service, and because it's EK metal I can't pre-book QF spa. Total first world problem though 😂

Welcome to AFF @JoJoJo
Enjoy the Flounge and share your experience with it.
Happy travels ✈️

A rather excited Mrs Cloud9 is hoping to get into the MEL Flounge Spa on Friday morning around 9am. From those in the know, what's the reckoning of the likelihood of there being a slot available for her? We won't need to dart off until about 11:30am for the DeathStar flight to SIN.

I flew JQ7 in February and managed to book a spa appointment at 10 am

Certainly had no issue a couple of Fridays ago, was on 12noon to SIN - I think after the flights to NZ go, there is only the JQ and then QF to SIN
