Damn. I forgot to register my card before I bought the offset.

Altitude Qantas Black - Home

Strangely, you have to register the mastercard number, not the Amex number...

Registered now and I guess I'll do it again on the Amex if that's what worked for Dr Ralph (thanks for the update by the way).

For bank issued Amex cards, this is because the primary account is the MC (or VISA) and the Amex card is merely a companion card.

Agree it is a strange process. Register mastercard. Use AMEX. Should receive passes.

The recent ANZ offer says, "buy and fly" to get the 70 status credits. I wonder if it might work on that. I'll volunteer.

EDIT: the payment came up as :

EFTPOS QANTAS AIRWAYS LTD (ECOM)MASCOT AU.

So I hope that works, or did maybe I did something wrong.

I rang up and asked for the passes and after a week or so, i have them in my QF account. Have not rec'd the status credits as I have not made a paid bkg. Seeing as as I have 0 status credits, missing out on 70 makes no difference to me.

Whoops just found this..does not mention Amex

  • 1 To be eligible for the two complimentary Qantas Club Lounge Invitations, you must first register your details above and then use your Altitude Black card in Australia to purchase selected Qantas products and services. Selected Qantas products and services are the following items purchased directly from Qantas: Qantas passenger flights (with a QF flight number), Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Club membership joining and annual fees. Excludes Jetstar, Qantas Holidays, Qantas branded non-airfare products and any Qantas products and services not purchased directly from Qantas. Each year, you will receive two complimentary lounge invitations once you have made the required spend on selected Qantas products and services.

I never received the passes, so it didn't seem to matter whether I used mastercard or Amex.

No downside in calling and asking I guess. I anticipate the agent being suspect of a 1$ purchase but I'll give it a go.

This opportunity still works. My other half received 2 lounge passes (13 mths expiry) last week, approx a week after purchasing some carbon credits on her Amex card for the grand total of $1.04.
I note that a few people seem to have not received their passes. One thing to check would be whether the annual complimentary pass allocation was received earlier in the same year (card anniversary year, not calendar year).

anyone had any luck with a Mastercard purchase? I'm on a new Westpac card so do not have the Amex.

I did fly also ( return trip to Brisbane last December) , and still never received those 70 status credits, nor the qantas club passes. ANZ should never advertise what they do not intend to honour.

Have you chased this up?

I can't seem to find 'offset my flight' on the Qantas webpage.
Can someone please point me to where I find it, or attach a link straight to that page.

The URL is in first post of this thread. Then "offset my flight" is in top right menu...

I went to
Homepage
I can see the offset now button in the top right, but it only brings up the youtube of "'offset your next carbon flight"
