markis10, what is the world coming to - QF didn't invite us to our favourite Hangar :o?? JeffVader, I didn't get an invite either ;(, however having attended a previous QF event at the BNE Hangar in 2003, it should be a great event.

I know, our star burned brightly but quickly. Wonder if KAK got a gig?

Humble WPs don't get invited to events like this!

You'd think they'd reserve say 10/1000 for a random drawing of WPs... just so we can see how the others live :)

Hmm - given 3000 P1s (allegedly) I am intrigued how many are SYD based and how many got invited...

Was there not reference in the latest ACCC documentation that the next date was 18th April? Has anything else been sighted by anyone in terms of ACCC announcements?

Will those attendees for tonights' dinner tell Alan and Simon that we are holding a post-Dubai catch up tonight as well, with many photos of them for viewing and discussion :D.

Looks like it was a fun night for some.

Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has denied a senior member of his staff told an eminent Australian that the staffer would ''cut his throat'' when the federal Coalition won government.

Political commentator Peter van Onselen tweeted on Friday that he had overheard the threat during a private conversation at a Qantas party featuring the who's who of Australia's business community as well as celebrities including John Travolta and Miranda Kerr.

The gala dinner was held at Hanger 96 at Sydney's domestic airport on Thursday night to celebrate Qantas' new alliance with fellow airline Emirates.

I was at the dinner last night and it was fantastic - well done - simple - not overblown but really great sitting under a "shiny" 380.Tables were of 10, food and drink was great, entertainment was outstanding, speeches were kept to a minimum and the company I had at my table (did not know any of them beforehand) was outstanding. Senior QANTAS management at each table (Table 46)I was proud to be there and I think at last QANTAS is on the right track. Speeches by the Chairman (a good 2 minutes) and the Managing Director (say 5 minutes, without a paper or cue) was well done. Tina was just Tina - what more can one say - and it was just one enjoyable night. Well done QANTAS and their staff. New uniforms are stunning. If you ever get a chance to see the "walking board" it will blow your mind. My wife and I were proud to be there -well done everyone.
