Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Ordered sustainable wine yesterday, Green Leaf came through just now after 24 hours.
Still waiting on my leaf for Red Energy Greenpower (points posted 24 July) and Offset Flying ( awaiting points, done a week ago). At least, I am not in a hurry this time.

FYI, with Qantas wines I was deciding between 2 Whites yesterday, one sustainable, one not.
Agent mentioned there was an issue currently with adding Climate Positive delivery. Not sure if anyone has had a problem with it?

Aren’t they the same leaf anyway? (ie if you buy the Green leaf sustainable wine you don’t need the sustainable delivery?)

my recent experience is around 7 days from booking.

Maybe wait another 2 days
My points for the fly carbon neutral, the green leaf and option to select the green reward all appeared today about 4 weeks after purchasing the flight and offset.

I didn't chase up in anyway, it just appeared on its own, so unless you need it urgently it might be worth just waiting for now.

Yes, you only earn the one leaf.
But had I chosen the other ( non sustainable) white wine, there were issues with the application of the leaf with climate positive delivery.
I was more after the leaf than the wine, so bought "green" wine.

Member year ticked over 01 August and second year again I already have 1x ☘️ for “Reduce your impact”.

No sign of the Quiz back in the QF Well Being app as yet but it reappeared early last member year.

Anyway, started the year with 50 SC and 12mths to get 4x more leaves.

So the minimum cost of Green Tier is now $50 I take it, I’m not missing some cheaper way to get that final leaf? Gotta offset the holiday house?

+1 to this. It's weird when things actually work 😅

Same for me.

Although I haven't done the Quiz since first year. It was manually credited 2nd year, automatically appeared in year 3 (even though quiz was available, no point in completing it) and there automatically again now in the 4th year.

Now off to claim my loyalty bonus too.

I believe it’s slightly less plus the points for “Give back”. Although, the bunch of new hotels can spring a leaf (for more $s but something you might spend anyway).

You still get the points doing the quiz.

Update: Green leaf appeared this afternoon for Flying Carbon neutral (booked 10 days ago)

@QPProletarian has yours come through?

Curious if that a new normal or just late. They’ve generally posted the leaf about 48hrs later.

One good indicator is you earn seperate points for a cash offset. So if that turns up, the leaf is normally there at the same time.

Yes @SYD that has always been IME
I read somewhere recently to allow 4 ( or was it 8?) weeks for leaf to appear.

My 65 points posted this afternoon ✔️

Now I wait for Red Energy green leaf, points posted last week

Recieved option of reward took the 10k points. About 2 weeks from 5th leaf dropping.

Then cancelled my QF business flight, full cash refund.

All my leaves have appeared fairly quickly after being green. I have selected the 50 status credits, just wondering how long it takes for Qantas to grind its gears to allocate them?

My membership year ends April 30th 2025, the reward had to be selected by November 30th 2024 and I'm green apparently until April 2026 so it seems like I can't try again next membership year.

Once I selected the reward, SC's came through relatively quickly - a few days from memory @Pushka

With Green Tier, commence collecting your leaves 1 May 2025 onwards.

That's how mine worked with 30 June anniversary, able to get leaf after 1 July.
I was "given" the Reduce your impact leaf without having to do the quiz.
