Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Yeah, agree that the wine usually posts shortly after dispatch. I was specifically wondering about how long after the last leaf posts do you get the email to choose points or SCs.

I have enough points in the pipeline to cover the shortfall but they are coming from QF hotel bookings and they will probably arrive next year.

IME hotel points count on the day they are posted rather than the they were earned.
Pretty sure you get the option to pick your green reward right when the last leaf lands. I really can t remember feeling impatient or frustrated waiting for the option. Frustration is always around the leaf taking a few days. Which is your last leaf btw? If it s the carbon offset, there have been cases in the past where the leaf never arrives, without harrassing the call center.

I did the offset a couple of hours ago for my last leaf, so will report back.

(Last year, I got the last leaf and was informed I'd requalified but needed a manual intervention to get the 10k point reward after requalifying. This year, it's the 50SC as I'll fall over the line to SG with them. :))

I've got 4 leafs done, waiting until right before my period renews before getting the 5th, so that I can choose to get SC in the next cycle.

Good strategy?

Will be keen to hear how you go! I offset a flight during booking 30 days ago and haven't received a leaf, and a second flight I booked 17 days ago - which I didn't offset during booking but instead did from the link on the Green Tier page. I think Qantas say it can take up to 8 weeks after purchase and I haven't taken either flight yet.

This might be something to bear in mind if you are thinking of using the flight carbon offset as your final qualifier and leaving it towards the end of your membership year.

Not necessarily, given the processing times and "things going awry" occasionally: I'd go 2 months before your anniversary month.

Agree - last year, I requalified and waited six weeks with nothing popping up (which triggered the aforementioned manual intervention).
