Qantas Hotels - Seriously WTF?

Be strong young jedi and hopefully the force will be with you!

- unfortunately I never thought to do the cheap indo booking thing that some others d
Yes
As mentioned before I don’t get why they could run a promotion without a minimum $ spend (which they did fix during the promo period) and that you were actually REQUIRED to stay and check out of the hotel. The mind boggles about what they were thinking
I suppose they made at least $1 on every $3 booking and gave away 5,000 points for each of them
They’re slow learners there though. $4,299 F airfares anyone ?

Maybe they underestimated the craftiness of some here on AFF? 🤣

That hotel up in Indo must be pretty happy though!

Okay
I went to find the missing bookings because QF Hotels are pretty reliable on sending an email confirmation and I couldn’t find them…
My bad though because further exploration saw that I had booked both of them on 3rd June
So finally gotten the reference numbers so I can now hassle the hotel folk sometime this week.
While it will be about 3,500 points that’s still half a fare to Melbourne

Fingers crossed for you!

Points for the first of five hotels on last months trip have credited today - hopefully the 5000 point bonus will come through in the near future.

Unfortunately the MU claim has been rejected by Qantas so I am now going to have to try to get a copy of my boarding pass from MU - wish me luck on that one! They still haven't fixed the problem on the website that would allow me to submit the claim through the website.

Missing claims popped in tonight via email. Support ticket numbers provided

I looked at all 20 bookings and for some reason the two concerned booked on 3 June had a missing QFF number. Because one needs to be logged in to book, this made little sense but there was zero reference to points earnt

In the 18 bookings where the QFF points are shown against / inside the booking, these DO INCLUDE those where points are yet to post be allocated onto my FF account but they are Already “allotted”

EDIT moved this comment to this thread

To see your own PAST bookings

use the bookings?filter=past
then select View Details on the far right hand side
this is where I discovered for whatever reason the FF number was absent, thus why no points got lodged.
it also says "
Qantas Frequent Flyer Number and ABN can not be changed 4 weeks after your check-out."

I DO NOTE the system allowed me to access the EMPTY boxes but I cancelled out rather than added a number
would think there's a batch process that runs after 4 weeks that pushes the allotted points into your FF account hence the CANNOT BE CHANGED statement

It sounds like you have made good progress!

As far as I can tell I still have 2x 5000 points owing, plus 2x 2000 points for the QBR offer that came soon after for hotel bookings - plus all the normal points for the bookings. QBR bonuses are often a bit tricky to follow as there is no booking reference given when they hit the account - so just have to figure number of bonuses that should be coming vs number arrived.
