Exactly. It doesn’t finish until October.

ISAC doesn’t care which city it goes from. Authorisation was Australia - Tokyo.

Qantas have already published their flight timings and the desire to have three cities go to Haneda, presumably to distance themselves from the JQ operation at NRT while keeping one service ex Sydney. I am not too fussed which airport for my needs, I use the Haneda Mercure or the Narita Hilton with its $600 toasters if need be, it’s one of the few Hiltons I find good value.

Hilton Yokohama pretty good and reasonably cheap. 25-30mins to HND on airport express, 35-40mins into tokyo proper (either side). Nice new hotel too - just on the quiet side of Yokohama.

I use 20th March (near the equinox) for the Northern Spring start date. But that’s just me.

Once they get official approval for the flights we will see timetable changes including the NRT SYD flights, probably next month.

Not December, not January. Anyone punting on February?

I would like to know what’s stopping the official announcement. Some of us have flights to/from NRT in April. Would be helpful to be notified by QF as to what’s happening as it may affect my first and last day in Japan.

Agree - I have a connection QF from Brisbane to AY at NRT . I would like to explore options when the BNE flight ends up at HND and there is no way making the connection to Helsinki.

The same business reward ticket. Current flights are BNE-NRT-HEL- EDI. Booked this way because no classic reward seats available for a more direct route eg via LHR.

Ok if/when the change does occur you may also get more options via the self rebooking portal. In the past I’ve had it offer options outside of reward space so don’t lose all hope.

I’ll check again, for flights a day or three later. J in/out of TYO was looking pretty full on QF when I last checked.

Its so frustrating. We have flights in April that may result in a night near the airport. The longer qantas leaves it, the more out of pocket and inconvienced their patrons will be, but I dont think their customer needs are consideree anymore.

My flight is early May, if I am moved to night flight it means a horrible overnight flight and an extra unpaid day off work. If the morning slot is changing to be BNE then I want to know asap so i can be moved onto that flight and still get back to SYD same day.
