Has anyone notice that prices on QF has gone up slightly with the new fare structure today?

For CBR-MEL, the basic Red e-deal has gone up from $120 to $129, flexi-saver from $216 to $245 and fully flex from $416 to 469.

yes - the same happened for MEL-SYD - a nice way to sneak in a price increase with nobody noticing!

Good point re having to pay the fare differential. I generally get the benefit of the flexisaver when I'm already at the airport and I think I have always been able to change flights so long as there is a seat available.

Same.

I have NEVER paid a fare difference in my life with QF on a flexi saver using this approach.

Though markis10 is correct if you do it prior on the net etc you may.

Seems like the same approach Jetstar took - give with one hand, take away with the other. Par for the course really, but AJ has been banging on and on about prices being unsustainably low. :-|

I'm prepared to wait a while before casting jugement of pricing changes upward.
a number of classes appear to be now selling at a pricepoint lower than prior to the new structure
Since class useage has changed eg E price (sydmel was 117ish)now in O class(112) and the new fares had an immediate sale/travel date ,those previosly booked in the various classes will impact availablility for a while moving forward.
So the O pricepoint being closer to the Old E class will probobly get the type of access E did . QF would have reduced O access in line with the new fare but would still have a lot sold in O at the old price. The "old sold"fares passenger numbers, I suspect ,are having an impact on current availablility.
Theres probably a TT impact as well on some routes
Thats what I figure with my retail background..doesnt mean it right just my theory

Wasn't Flexi Saver supposed to disappear?

Anyway FWIW I believe airfares have dropped $5 recently. The SYD-BNE red e-deal is now $112 where as it was $117 recently. Back under $100 is where it belongs....

Aah that's right. They went from 5 fare buckets down to 4 including business class.
