Qantas iOS app update

I've installed/uninstalled the update twice now. Despite using the correct details I'm told my login details are incorrect. I was only able to login once and found my current bookings hadn't been transitioned. Yes I turned it off and on again.

Id say it's the qf servers getting hammered, I've been logged out (even though it was fine this afternoon) and it's showing that incorrect details message.

Unable to log in with either accounts. :(

Unable to login. Website login works ok so something to do with the backend of their servers or app. Doh!! Annoying cos I can't downgrade to the old app to access flight details!!

Also unable to login on iPhone or iPad. Comes back with username or password invalid. But same details not invalid on website.

It seems to be working now, so maybe try again...

I deleted the app and reinstalled it on the iPad, but it simply started working on the iPhone. (Still pretty bad on Android.)

Having just updated, I am extremely impressed. I find the aesthetics overall are bright, attractive, modern and clean. I feel it fits well with the iOS 7 scheme. I think Qantas are finally on to something good with their app design.

I didn't understand why Qantas don't work harder to combine all your related bookings under the one booking itinerary. For a trip to New Zealand I have upcoming - wouldn't it be nice to click Manage my Booking - and have all of my flights, activities, cars and hotels bookings immediately available on the one page? I realise we are halfway there - flights and cars are shown, but activities and hotels are still absent. I can't help but feel it would encourage people to book their entire itinerary with Qantas if it were all possible to view the itinerary on the one page, and manage it just as conveniently. I messaged RedRoo with a query to this effect and was advised that with so many partner companies it's difficult to manage. I just wish it were possible.

And Qantas appear to be getting a little closer to the mark - the app allows you to view (separately) your flight, car and hotel bookings. Unfortunately, my 3 hotel bookings aren't shown - perhaps I should be worried?

Either way, the User Interface appears much improved, and I'm actually quite excited with the direction Qantas have taken with their app. It's a very good start, and hopefully they continue to develop the app in the same vein.

The new app is working for me this morning and it looks a great improvement. I had to laugh I have a trip to JNB soon and it tells me to relax in the Business lounge in Syd, you would think as I am platinum and the app knows that it would say First Lounge. Maybe Qantas are leading up to a new enhancement.

I have a trip to RDU coming up, it says to relax in the Flounge, but for my trip in Oct to HK, it says to relax in the J lounge. Perhaps it's because it's post anniversary date (which I have re-qualified for WP already)...

New app looks great but says unable to load upcoming trips. I'll wait and see what happens.

Now both iPhone and iPad apps are working. On iPhone app icon is the red Qantas with kangaroo. But on iPad icon is like a white and grey target. Have reinstalled but still the same. Anyone else have this issue?

Same here. Just the generic app icon.

on iPad icon is like a white and grey target.

That's the generic placeholder. The developers didn't include graphic assets the correct sizes for the iPad icon which is different to the iPhone. Should have been picked up in testing really.

Yep, none of my 20+ forward bookings showing in there, back to the mobile website. Yet another QF enhancement.

An improvement I guess, but keeps crashing when I look for a city and it doesn't like it.

I have to say that the best airline app is United. Absolutely love it. Almost makes up for their domestic product. Can see upgrade potentials, where plane is coming from, can buy baggage, change flights, upgrades, security passes, flight tracking.

Seriously Qantas - get on it! Nice move in the right direction, but not quite there yet.
