The 24 hour rule is Qantas official position. In practice it is my experience that you can link a pass much closer to departure time than that.

Second this - have managed to link a pass on day of travel

Anyone have experience with Complementary Lounge Passes and the LAX TBIT Business Lounge? I looked a while ago but it was before TBIT Lounge was re-opened so not able to use. Now that its open again, can complimentary passes be linked for use there or only J class and QB members?

Preparing myself for no upgrades...

Happy to be wrong, @WhiteboardKing, but when I was there in July I was told Qantas passes were no good in the lounge in LAX

That was the indication I was given, so I have been working on the provision that its upgrade comes through or bust for access on that stop of the journey.

Lounge Passes only accepted at Qantas Lounges - the TBIT Lounge is a OW Lounge operated by Qantas, passes historically not accepted here.
