Qantas Lounges will begin reopening from 1 November 2021

MEL International was by far the most bizarre experience of my trip in December, absolute ghostland, naked mannequin standing in the otherwise completely empty Armani shop staring back at you.

My first exp. travelling in First, sitting around with about 4 other people in a place with no open food / drink was super surreal.

It was 8.30 pm till 10.30 pm (Sunday). There was one QF flight at 11, an EK flight at 10.30 and QR flight at 11.

Thanks for that. We are on QF8409 (EK409) tomorrow night, so as Qantas Gold I will be okay with my wife and 2 kids, but my 77 year old father in law might not be able to join us. I was hoping to beg an entry for him...

Agree it’s very odd, only 1 passport counter open. Got through into duty free and all looked normal, Rolex shop open and then suddenly nothing. Has been soon long I got lost looking for the Qantas lounge.

Not sure if this needs (or has) it's own thread, but looks like Perth T1 won't be joining the list of those reopening. Biggest casualty here may be JQ passengers to DPS.

I had an early flight out of MEL the other day and was surprised to see the lounges only open up at 6am which means anyone flying on 6am flights does not get lounge access.

I got there at 5.58am on Saturday and there was a queue of people at the door. Right on 6am a staff member arrived to open up.

SYD/MEL J lounges reopen from 27 March and F lounges will return to full service.

Is there anywhere in the lounges now which is a "quiet zone" i.e. doesn't have the piped in music playing in the background? It's really annoying when on the phone and even playing music through headphones doesn't block it out.

In case anyone is wondering, I have confirmed with Qantas that the international Business Lounge in Brisbane will also reopen on 27 March 2022.

Can anyone confirm the opening hours of the Sydney Qantas International Business Lounge?
Have a late flight with Qatar, I have Oneworld Saphire status, which should give me access, but the lounge could be closed given its a late flight and not sure if there is a Qantas late flight on the same time

QF11 is pretty late, from what I can see the Doha flight leaves before.

But the website says:
This lounge is temporarily closed.
Once re-opened, lounge opening hours will be: 5am to 10pm

I think the QF11 flight is changing from a late flight to a much earlier flight.
But, if the opening hours are to 10pm then I should be ok.
