Another open, honest and fantastic QF lunch. Huge thanks to Stephanie, Kate, Lesley, Rob, Amanda and Ryan! Really great day, and it was nice to meet a lot of new (and a few old) AFFers. :)

Cheers,
Febs.

Re: Qantas Loyalty MEL lunch (3 September 2013) attendees thread

^^^^^^^^
ditto

nice to meet so many fellow flyers, and frank discussions with QF loyalty and card marketing folk. And guess what was waiting for me when I got home? One new WP Qantas cash card. Now, will I bother activating it? Next OS trip is to Thailand in a couple of weeks.....

They did say THB is a currency they're actively trying to add to the list. :)

Cheers
Febs.

I made the suggestion at the SYD lunch that UAE Dirhams are probably one they should look at...

I seem to remember them saying it was largely dependent on MasterCard, but yes that would probably be a good idea for QF!

+1 from me as well, had a wonderful day, and the lunch was superb. I very much enjoyed having a yarn with Kate about travel in general, and I do have to give Stephanie points for handling my "but I'm a database designer who has built booking engines in the past, so what's the real reason" discussion, and giving me an answer which made sense on mASA's (didn't say I liked the answer, but that's another story).

It was also great catch up with AFFer's I already knew, plus meet a few others. :p

Looking forwards to the next opportunity.

Totally agree HarvyK, was a fantastic day and good to finally meet you and others in person.

Really would like another one of those Rockpool Creme Caramel's, even better than the QF SIN lounge Creme Brulee! :)

Its not often the cheese plate looks like it was the diet option of the desert menu

That's a big call, those QF SIN lounge Creme Brulee's are something pretty special... Need to do a trip back to rockpool, and then immediately fly across to SIN to sample them both in the shortest amount of time to confirm which is better

We can call it the "Creme Brulee crawl" hahahahaha

I skipped dinner on Tuesday night too.

I ended up doing a small dinner in the JLounge as I knew there would be no dinner waiting for me at home if I was feeling hungry (plus MEL-CBR flights are not known for their excellent dinners, at least in Y)

weak! :p I must admit, I wasnt hungry for most of yesterday....

SYD CL - nah not really hungry.

SYD-BNE - "Mr dfcatch would you like a snack?" No thanks

BNE CL - "Help yourself to the buffet" No thanks.

BNE-CNS - "Mr dfcatch will you be joining us for dinner tonight?" Ummm No!

;)
