Qantas order of precedence

I normally book them 1.5-2 weeks ahead. I've never had a problem getting exit row... they are easier to get than Row 4 or 5.

Is it possible that row 4 is already allocated by the time you book (by someone who has status and has booked prior to you)?

I used to do SYD-WLG, and booking 1-2 weeks prior usually meant that first few rows were gone.
