Qantas partnership with BP

I got the 200 points for $80 one and binned it - my tank is not that big.

Imagine that rate for a non car driver!
$20 for triple points, I can handle.
But $50/$80... 17 ice creams at $4.99... per each, but have to buy 17 at same time.
Yep, I deleted it too.
Maybe an ignore might trigger something bit lower.
Or activate and then ignore.

Well I have been using the BP offers in Tassie.Running an I30 I don't think I got to a $50 spend once. But now I am home the tank is much larger.

For whatever reason, mine offer was 200 pointed for $100 spend. I have a 70l tank, so $100 isn't beyond the realm of reality. In the past for each bonus offer I put in at 60+l which works out at least $90. I guess their offer is based on modelling of past purchases and then stretching it a little bit, to get me to spend that little bit extra at BP. But this doesn't entice me

I don't usually activate the offers as I pay from the app but got caught out when I discovered our brand new BP isnt app activated

ACCC hosts a very handy page showing the cycles in major cities:

I use Distill web monitor browser extension to check that page everyday. I've set it to looks for a change in the first list item which states (Prices are increasing/decreasing or prices are at highest point/lowest point.) I then get a desktop notification.

Mine is 200 points for $80 !!
I go that too. Pass.

Maybe activate then ignore, and see if the 200 bonus points per $20 spend on fuel or tit bits comes back.
That might defeat the purpose of us timepoor or tigharses, or those who have to drive far to get to a specific BP outlet (AMPM in metro/country South Aust), but activating then ignoring, might be the only way to try to get a bonus offer that interest us.
$50/$80 min spending, is a bit too much, even if I did drive, as my closest BP is about 15mins drive away, by car (I don't drive).
OT: OTR in SA/part of country Vic close to SA border, decided to buy into the BP fuel business, they still have the BP logo, but they say they are not a BP outlet!
I don't use Uber, and have no use of a car, (never had a drivers licence).

Earn 5x Qantas Points for purchasing both fuel and any eligible in-store products in the same transaction

Actually, price of fuel aside, and price of nick knacks (non fuel aside), the transfer of points from BP to my QFF account was quite fast, 1.5 days, without me having to call either up.
Maybe if you know your QFF account is about to lose points, due to non flying, ("points expiry if no activity for 18 months"), this BP and QFF deal is a good one to use.
1:1 points worth, compared to 0.25:1 with the QTMC, boo hoo hiss I say to the QTMC.

Campaign period: 23 March 2021, 12:00 am (AEDT) to 30 March 2021, 11:59 pm (AEDT). To participate in the 'guaranteed share of one million Qantas Points' campaign you must successfully activate this offer and make an eligible purchase at bp within the campaign period. Each member that is targeted via email with the offer, activates and makes an eligible purchase at bp during the promotion period will be awarded an equal share of one million Qantas Points with the proportion of Qantas Points awarded to a member being dependent on the number of eligible transactions received during the campaign period. This offer is valid once per person during the campaign period and multiple transactions will not result in multiple shares of points. Qantas Points will be credited to your Frequent Flyer account up to 60 days after the campaign end date. Qantas Frequent Flyer and BP Rewards terms and conditions apply.

Wonder how many BP Rewards/QF members there are. Your prize could be as little as a handful of points. But I hit activate because I'm a points punter!

I decided to buy a chocolate bar at BP to activate my "guaranteed slice" of this promotion (which no doubt will be pretty tiny), however I am wondering if it makes a difference if I scan my BP Rewards card or my QFF card directly? My BP card appears to be linked properly to my QFF account in the app, so I'm guessing they should be equivalent.

My understanding was that you scan either the QFF card or the BP Rewards card, depending on whether you aim to get discounted fuel (BP points or whatever they have) or QFF points. Not both. But I could be wrong.

I drive an Alfa now so if filling with the 98 on empty, I get there. But the fuel prices have been radical – if I see it cheap(er), I'll top up so it can end up being $20 here or $30 there, rather than an $80 tank.
