Qantas partnership with BP

My current BP offer requires me to spend at least $30 on fuel in a single transaction to earn 5x points.

My tank was only around half-empty so I decided to fill up today with 98 octane fuel (as it's the most expensive), but by the time I got to $29.71 the tank was pretty much overflowing. It simply wouldn't fit any more fuel. Argh! Bye bye, 5x points...

BP Rewards 1 year anniversary promo (targeted): 50 bonus points on next transaction. Need to activate the offer by 14 May, but next transaction can be up to 12 months from this date.

200 bonus Qantas Points for $50 spend on BP Ultimate 98, or 50 bonus Qantas Points for $50 spend on any other fuels.

So if I buy 50l of 98 unleaded, 21c/l extra at my local, I'll get 150 extra points if I spend $10 more. Um, perhaps not...

These have certainly become less appealing. I look forward to the 7/11-VA partnership bringing an alternative to the market

Depends on if you have a car where 98 is the recommended fuel.....
OTOH will I need to spend $50 by 11 May?
The difference is the 3 to 6 cents per liter between BP and the local "discounters"

Does that mean more wandering

2x Qantas Points on fuel or 10x Qantas Points if paying with BPme

Same for me.

The only problem is that my local BP is 170.9 for U98 and Woolies is 166.9. Take off a further 9c/l at Woolies for EDR and EG Club discounts and a further 5% when paying by WISH eGC and the price comes down to 150.0.

Do you have an Amex? Pretty sure all cards just got targetted with BPme spend $50 get $10 back, which offsets the different per litre.

No, I got the 10 points pay at BPme offer, but no Amex offer listed among my offers

I buggered up the BPme app, I opened the app, browsed it while at the petrol servo, got out of car to fill up, hoped back in the car to pay via app & it says I had to open the specific part of the app re payment & choose the pump no.
I read the instructions at the bowser & it wasn't overly clear.
So I missed out on the 10X points by not paying on the app, disappointed.

I asked the BP guy I paid to & he said yeah it's all written outside there, instruction one.....I said, what does instruction 1 say? He says open the app, I replied exactly, open the app which what I did.....there's a little more to it than just opening it, how about saying as part of the instruction 1, that you must select the bowser number etc.
Have emailed BP app people.

No matter.
