Qantas partnership with BP

Tried to register with BPme to be able to access this, just a string of errors in their app and online... accounts created but then can't logon, "something went wrong", "User not authorised for any apps"... App on Google Play has a 2.6 rating with a LOT of people with same issues dating back months.

Not happy with new Qantas and BP arrangement.
I previously received 2 points per litre for Ultimate Diesel under the Velocity/BP programme whereas Qantas are only offering 1 point per litre for Ultimate Diesel.
Diesel car owners do not have a choice to buy Ultimate Unleaded!
On Monday this week Ultimate Diesel was more expensive that Ultimate Unleaded.
I hope Qantas are listening and can match the previous Velocity/BP arrangement of 2 points for BOTH Ultimate Unleaded and Ultimate Diesel.

Diesel is on its way out for cars anyway.

Yeah something similar for me. I signed up using the Qantas website and got the e-mail to reset my password and all that. But when I go to log into BPme the app just loops back to the login screen, and when I sign in to my account online I get the error about not being authorised for any apps.

Signed onto the BP app today. Just went to a BP servo and tried to scan my Qantas card as the BP app indicated this site was a participant in the program. ‘Surprisingly’ it didn’t work! Attendant had absolutely no idea that they are now affiliated with QFF! Said they used to take ‘a card’ but not any more. It is typical of the lack of knowledge and service we in SA get from OTR outlets, but not a great start to the BP/QF alliance.

Came here to post exactly this! In SA and tried the Alberton OTR, attendant had no clue about the partnership. I tried scanning my QF app barcode but a red error message showed on the attendants screen. Guess they'll be updating their computers at some point (and their staff).

From what I've read it's the QF barcode to scan when BPme is set to Qantas earning, definitely not the BPme barcode, right?

Yep -
And Status credits dont count for loyalty bonus - I'm stuck on 495 and my options for finishing the 500, and then gold are somewhat limited at the moment ... :(

It’s very frustrating you can’t get points using the BP Plus app, you have to pay in store with your BP card to get points.

Did the status credits from this promo post instantly? My anniversary is 30 June, the last day of the promo. Thinking to sign up that day and hope the SC take a day to show up so they count to my next membership year 😂

Tried a different BP today and same story but also tried the BPme barcode, didn't work. Interestingly I received 100 QF points from BP for the previous day I tried the card, doesn't match my purchase but I didn't read about a 100 point signup bonus? Makes me wonder where they came from.

I received an email when I signed up saying "You’ve earned 100 Qantas Points".

However, when I log in, the site says " 26/3/20 Join bonus 0 pts"

What a mess.

How did you sign up?
If you signed up through BP, BR Rewards, BP Me, etc. you get 100 points.
If you sign up through QF you get 10 Status Credits

Brilliant. Their own T&Cs says nothing obvious about that, just
"2.2.1 How do I join BP Rewards?
There are 3 ways that you can register for BP Rewards:"

Of those three options, the Qantas page makes itself look like the fastest, easiest way to create an account, without mentioning that it's a way to not gain the 100 bonus points and get useless status credits instead.
"Hi, let’s get you started.
Login to populate your details"

I signed up Thursday. The 100 bonus points were in my account on Friday. I filled up once on Saturday and Once on Sunday (just managed to squeeze 5 liters into my tank on Sunday). The bottom of both receipts said that I had earnt [200+number of litres] points. Will see what happens.

Am really interested to know if the 10SC per 1000 points(liters) is pro rated (so 1 SC per 100 liters). It was not mentioned anywhere in the Ts&Cs that I could see.
