Enjoyed a wonderful Friday night for the opening of Carmen at the Regent Theatre Melbourne, produced by The Australian Ballet. Sat beside another P1, unsure how many Qantas guests as no formal gathering or hosts present. Thoughtful to include a programme with glass of wine. Thank you Qantas VIP.

I was invited too - but already had tickets, so suggested to QFF that they pass my invitation on.
It was a stunning performance!

I had an interesting situation occur this week. I had a business seat Canada-LAX-Melb-Bris and on getting to Melb had to change my boarding pass because my FF number wasnt on it. Received a new BP, didnt look at it but on boarding Bris flight, was downgraded. When I enquired, I was told that a FA was given my seat due to their EBA. I explained my thoughts and my status and that this was a paid flight and I had just flown 2 sectors incl long haul but to no avail. I also suggested that there were 11 other PAX in Business so why me.? Were they all CL or P1? No response. I boarded, sat in 7D and the crew were very embarrassed and mortified. I have written a letter to the VIP team but yet to hear from the command centre.

I used this area the other week.

Don't all rush out to book a flight to South Africa, hah. It was just a room next to the main dining area. Nice, but nothing too crazy.

I was trying to request CR flights to London (just for 1 pax) in July. Yes, it's absolutely peak period, but thought I'd try my luck.

I was asked to call up and was told on the phone they could only submit automated Classic Reward requests and that the manual review process wasn't going to be available until July 7th.

Anybody know what this actually means? Are all manual reviews restricted until July or is it just the LHR legs?

Sounds like a blackout period for (route dependent) peak season travel. This is not a new thing, unfortunately.
