Qantas Platinum One experiences?

Is there any thing any one would like me to pass on to Alan and Olivia LOL :)

Not a P1 issue, we get through to the VIP team rather quickly ;):D

@Ansett why not bring up all the things we seem to whinge about starting with the lack of or inconsistent approach to benefits defined or otherwise, then you could move onto other trivial subjects like opt ups, shadows before getting onto reducing the LTP qualification to a more realistic level, guaranteed upgrades at the time of booking etc ;):p I am sure you can think of others. If you get stuck reach out and I will supply other unrealistic requests and mute discussion points ;):p

Depending on your experiences it may be worth passing on that the VIP team is an improvement over the old SST and will leave that up to your discretion. If they realise that something has inadvertently been improved o_O the service may get cut back.

On a more serious note let us know how it goes and trust you will have an enjoyable evening. If you are part of the FB group why not post some photos.

Edit: Depending on your roll over date enquire about status extension plans for the Jul-Dec QFFers

My experiences from the QF2, 2-day journey on Fri-Sun

Nice that CSMs spoke to me, very polite and friendly.

Apart from that, nothing. Bags came out near last LOL

Not a single note from the VIP team telling me about delays. How much does a text cost?

No one to meet you off the plane, to speed things up maybe Nope, just join the queue for hotel rooms like everyone else.
At the hotel in Darwin, other guests were directed towards pool side rooms. I had a hike up the back of the paddock to a tiny room overlooking the highway.

First world problems...!
I don't care that much, and I don't criticise Qantas for the delays or their handling of them - but it did make me wonder why I steer towards P1, when regular P is identical in every meaningful way. Could switch to Emirates and get the service with the odd flight to maintain status at QF?

DRW is such a relatively small station it is likely they do not have folks there to make special rrangements (ie the equivalent of First Hosts) and well where the hotel put you is pretty much out of QF's control who would have just secured a block of rooms at late notice.

I mean it is frustrating for sure and annoying but I'm not sure the VIP Team can be held responsible for that (apart from text or contact - specially within Oz).

why don't you drop them a line about it?

Like I said, I'm not that upset about it. The thread is 'platinum one experiences' so I thought I'd throw my 2 cents worth in there. Hassling hard working Qantas people isn't my go.
There were a few Karen's on show at DRW so I'm sure they've got enough complaints today without me joining in :)

So my new membership year began this month. I've realised that the SC rollover doesn't seem to count towards the 2700 QF SC required to requalify for P1. I have about 700 SC which rolled over (probably ~450 from QF and ~250 from QR) and the status tracker says I still need 2680 QF SC to requalify (I got 20 QF SC last week from flights).
Is this the case for others? Is this by design or a mistake?
I would have imagined that if a P1 had 1,800 QF SC rollover from one year to the next they would count toward the 2700 QF SC requirement and not only the 900 general SC.

Even stranger! Maybe someone else will bring even more confusion 😂
In any case, I'll only contact QF if I get close to requalifying this year, if not there is no point losing time on phone/email. Although the only tangible benefit of P1 is the VIP line, so maybe I should call! 😂😂

Exactly no point (credit) worrying about it. I suspect a further status extension will come anyway (fairly sure) so it won't be an issue.. but the numbers seem rather weird. Still something to note if by some miracle it becomes an issue of a missing 25 SC for me (way more for you.. which I probably would query as 700 is significant!)
Indeed, with the new extension announced today this all becomes a moot point in my case, but still QF IT could improve a bit!
