socceroos coach isn't as popular...

Interesting. Even though it's only a 1-hour training session, and you have to be in NSW, I thought there would probably be a few soccer fanatics out there who would want this one.

Still, 260,001 points when it's not even midday yet isn't all that bad!

So confusing here with another Vic... feels like I'm talking to myself haha
My token bid for the fun of it lasted five minutes

I'm a bit slow to this thread, but I really can't see that this will make much of a dint in the overall QFF points liability. There's only going to be one winner per day for 5 days and I'd hazard a guess that even just amongst AFF members there'd be many with points balances in the millions. (Heck, our family of five have about 10M points and that's not even trying too hard. then there's KF as well.)

The QF liability of points must be in the billions.

This must be a valuable exercise for Qantas to see what is popular and how high bidding will go for different rewards: they will then see how to target prices for different classes of products: eg sim sessions,, skybeds, holidays etc. ( Once they start cutting up A380s, there'll be lots of memorabilia for them to auction off.)
a good way for Qantas to reduce the points that must be building up with people cancelling award flights, not booking new award flights, and still earning points with credit cards, everyday rewards etc.

It's pretty restrictive so only a niche market for this one I think

Also this is a prize that would not be enjoyed by the winner - but by the winner's children. Plus, I am guessing that many of us who hold 1,000,000 plus points balances will have interacted with people in the public eye as part of our day jobs - so contact with a celebrity is not a major draw card.

I wonder how much the Skybeds will go for?

And where will I put them?

My guess 2.7-2.8M for the skybeds.

but who honestly has space and whatever for them? plus "pre-loved" gives so many unfortunate images with regards to the droopbeds... no thank you :)

MrsM wouldn't let me get one of the QF trolleys, have no hope in convincing her we need these :)

I think she was just concerned that you'd mimic the QF J experience for her at home. Make her sit in the J seat while you faff about for 90 minutes. Then you finally bring her a drink on your trolley. Drink is finished but she has to wait another 90 minutes for a bowl of weeds. The true QF J experience at home :)

hahaha Gold. Bravo :D

looks like the skybeds have stalled a bit in the bidding

Reading the conditions one thing that surprised me is how much these seats weigh I thought that they would be lighter. Admittedly I have never given any thought to what an aircraft seat weighs.
