Gosh, so many great comments to reply to, I love this forum and thread.
Can the same 100 status credits be rolled over indefinitely if one re- qualifies every year for PC plus , or is it rolled over only once ?
It’s up to 100 status credits earned in the prior membership year, but yes, as long as you have earned them, they will roll over as a PC+ member.
I have a feeling someone posted an example, I thought it was PC+ (but may have been status support related), that SCs won't be rolled over twice.
Eg. If you:
- Earn 100sc and attain PCP in year one,
- roll over 100sc and then earn PCP again, but don't but don't earn any seperate SCs in year two,
- then you don't get a re-rollover in year 3.
But would love to be wrong so please do reply here if I am!
Certainly buying the promotional gift cards at Woolworths and converting via the everyday rewards program as already mentioned is also a good option to add to the points pile.
Yes, about 130k converted this year from a few years of purchases (alongside other wwr promos)
I’m considering the ideas/mechanisms people have that aren’t really involving changing your health fund or telco etc (as no everyone will be in a position to do so). But maybe it’s redundant…
I feel like there are strategies things dotted in this thread, alongside other threads like the ATO thread, and generally threads for the various promos that come along (CCS, wine, transaction accounts, etc). Often reposted on the various blogs or ozb too.
I suspect the credit card companies would object. There’s a very fine balance to be struck between QF marketing their points to banks as an incentive to recruit loyal customers, and QF encouraging churning. IMO the PC+ already sits on the wrong side of that balance (ie I don’t believe it is reasonably attainable without churning) and higher levels would make it obvious that QF were encouraging gaming of the system - plus would be of interest to very few customers.
I think that any further tiers would mainly appeal to business owners members who put spend through their personal cards, but QFs strategy is probably to push these to the QBR program, which I believe doesn't qualify for PC?
I feel like any further major benefits (other than maybe SCs on successful upgrades or being able to gift the PC+ Lounge membership to family) would probably add too much to status dilution by inflation?
